Barcodes Reviews

Great app with a responsive developer

Hilton W on

United States

This is a great little app that I use for my loyalty cards and especially to check in at my gym. Initially I had some difficulty getting my cards to sync to my watch and Jake, the developer, responded to my support request and patiently guided me through the setup - I didn’t realize that I hadn’t signed into my iCloud account on my watch and once I did, everything worked perfectly. I was so impressed, I signed up for the lifetime subscription.

Works well - single purpose and constantly updated

Very flexible at the individual card level too so easy to display what is needed. Developer responsive to suggestions and able to fix things quickly. Worth the fee for the convenience and lack of data mining/selling that many other such tools are doing.

A phenomenal Stocard replacement.

I’m actually glad that app is going down, because it led me to this app and it’s much cleaner!

Replaced another app for me

I replaced another store loyalty app which shut down recently with Barcodes. This app is nice and clean and gets the jobs done without blasting me with ads. I like the ability to set locations for a card so things like my library card appear when I go there. There are a lot of stores/companies listed already, but anything missing you can request using a button in the menus

Great customer support

I bought this app to replace Stocard which was bought out by Klarna. Klarna did not support Apple Watches. Barcodes works exactly as advertised. It is simple to set up and use. It supports both phones and watches and the customer service is great.

Perfect! 👌

I’ve been a loyal Stocard user for years, and after its closure, I was on the hunt for a worthy replacement. Barcodes has not only met my expectations but exceeded them in every way. The app is incredibly snappy, modern, and user-friendly. It feels like it’s designed with today’s users in mind—quick, efficient, and sleek. Managing my loyalty cards has never been easier! What truly sets Barcodes apart is the developer, Jake. His dedication to the app is evident, and he is highly responsive to feedback and questions. It’s refreshing to see a developer so involved with their user base. If you’re looking for a seamless loyalty card app that’s reliable and well-supported, Barcodes is the perfect choice. Highly recommended!

Really good app, makes the native Wallet much more useful.

I just found this, and I’m loving this app. It is very well-made, and any grades extremely well with things like Apple wallet. Another thing I love is that they have an Apple Watch app as well. So while I still carry my wallet, hopefully in the near future (especially if digital IDs ever get adopted in my state), I could hopefully stop carrying my wallet and have everything I need on my phone or even just my watch, including my rewards cards for stores and so on. If you’re wondering about the free version, it lets you add up to three different Barcodes/cards. So it’s definitely usable as a trial, or if he only have three barcodes. I have not needed any support as the app is very well built, and I’m assuming that support would be great as well, again due to the nice build quality of the app. I would definitely recommend this to people that use any type of rewards cards, Even if you have to type them in normally on a screen at a store when checking out, having them available to scan on your phone or watch, as well as just cleaner. You don’t have to touch that dirty display anymore, which 1000+ people have already touched that day with their germ-y hands :-) And if you do use this, I would still recommend supporting the small developer because this is a great app and it’s again Nicely built and adds a lot of bonus features for people trying to move away from physical cards like I am. Great app!

Thank you! It just WORKS

I had been using a different barcode app for loyalty cards which decided to stop working a few months ago. Then I found this app and gave it a try. PERFECT. Take my money! OH, BUT IT GETS BETTER! (Yes, the all caps means I am shouting.) One of the markets in my area did not have a logo in the app's library so I sent the store's link to the developers. The logo was added within an hour or so—on a freaking holiday weekend!

Brand new user

I have been using Stocard for many years and with them closing I started to look around. I love developers that are detailed and passionate about their apps and this guy/gal is the tops! Reminds me of the Apollo developer. Well awesome app and I became a lifetime user as well a excellent deal for a well thought out product application

Love this App

I had to frantically search for a replacement after the app I had used for years announced it was shutting down. This app is great and does all that app did and more. Love that I can add photos of both sides of the card and to increase the brightness when scanning. Works perfectly everywhere I have tried so far. Made a suggestion to the dev and he got back to me which these days is pretty unusual.
