Barometer Plus

I loved this app until it tells me I have to have fitness tracker on for it to work like it did before. I will likely delete the App soon if I can’t find a workaround. Maybe it was from updating IOS as well and it’s on their end. However, I don’t dig it. AT ALL!!! Update 05/23/2024. This was found to be due to an IOS update, intentional in my opinion, to gather data for big brother. This App worked before with my phone basically locked down as much as one could lock one down. App developer should sue Apple for lost revenue due to loss of users. From my understanding, by reading through the developer programmers chat, they were not warned of this change so therefore Apple should be liable for revenue losses.

I was excited that this app allowed me to set warnings. The previous app that I loved showed sudden spikes and drops in air pressure, a feature that helped me understand RA pain types and judge which pain reliever to use. It’s developers suddenly revamped the entire thing and did away with that function. I was hoping to use this app for the same purpose. However, the ads are so large and intrusive that I can’t get passed them to check out this app’s features and settings. I didn’t see an option to buy a version without ads. Please advise a remedy.

I’m a pilot by trade, backcountry we don’t always have weather reporting, nice to be able to trend the weather, love the widget as it’s mandatory for this type of app (my last baro app removed that feature). ONE RECOMMEND? 1 Could you put a button in that snaps the reference needle to the current pressure 2 PLEASE make a watch version Thanks

Many migraine patients find changes in barometric pressure affect their headaches. I finally found a study, albeit a small sample, that identified the range most likely to contribute to migraine. I started using this app to track pressure and find it very helpful for managing things like whether to get an early start with medication or indulge in a potentially dangerous behavior such as having a drink with dinner.

After an update, it asked to track my fitness and activity - and wouldn’t allow me to access the app unless I agreed. A barometer does NOT need that information!! I am uninstalling as soon as I complete this review.

As a sufferer of frequent migraines, I was desperate for a good app after the one I’d been using went kaput. I tried several apps and finally settled on Barometer Plus after reading the User Guide and personalizing the settings to meet my needs. Right now it logs the barometric pressure hourly—to avoid draining the battery AND keep a record I can review—plus it’s set to notify me when the pressure changes rapidly. If you want/need an app with lots of customization options, I’d definitely recommend spending the $2.99 for the Platinum Edition so you can really tailor the app to suit your needs… just be sure to read the User Guide!

I have paid for this app in the past as I use it for work, just so I don’t have to deal with adds… now it constantly interrupts me during pump tests with adds and I am almost ready to uninstall it

The app is now demanding I turn on the “fitness” portion of my phone. I don’t want that crud on- it’s no one’s business if I leave the phone on the counter or carry it around.
