The app still seems to report issues, but now there is nothing but automated responses, and no officers showing up on the train. Can't imagine what would happen if there was a dangerous situation on a train.

This app is a joke. Bart response times are so slow the issue normally resolves itself before Bart bothers to respond. Bart does NOT care about the safety of it’s legitimate, sage and paying customers.

When there is not enough officers there is no point for reporting 😡

i've submitted numerous incident reports, ranging from nuisances to dangerous situations, and the results have been risible. as an example, one report involved someone cooking drugs over an open fire in a moving bart train. i was asked to specify the height, weight, race, attire, and possibly favorite music group of the individual. i guess it was important to make sure they got the CORRECT individual cooking drugs over an open fire on that particular train. in another instance i requested a wellness check for an individual i described as "semi-naked, barely conscious, occasionally mumbling deliriously, and drooling". i was asked for more specific information about the individual - presumably my description was not enough to differentiate him from the other dozen or so people in the same car? i think this app is just another way for bart to claim they care about safety or the customer experience without actually doing anything in response to the reports.

How many times do customers have to deal with BART’s management of trains during emergency track maintenance or police action? Train destination changes after boarding, trains switch directions at last moment, trains reverse direction after one or two stations. Nobody knows what’s happening or where they will end up after getting on a train. This happens too frequently. Announcements are barely audible. And, this BART Alert app is silent! We need better and safer service.

Used this app for the first time and it works beautifully and it’s very responsive. I think it is a very useful tool to have to report anything that is suspicious and also in emergencies. The Bart Police and a Lieutenant recommended this app and I love it.

the app should know what train i am on from my location data. having to enter it takes time which might be important in an emergency

We want safety and beautiful public transportation. This app makes it easy to report problem in the Bart train or station while you’re there. They are very responsive especially when it comes to everyone’s safety. It helps bring back a pleasant Bart service to all of us riders of Bart.

The police most times never respond to the incident you report. They just ask you hella questions.

Those who ride Bart regularly know how sketchy it can be at night. Recently I had several people openly smoking on a car. I reported it and within two stops Bart police was on board and kicked the group off. Not my first positive experience with the app either! Thank you for giving us an easy, safe, anonymous way to report safety issues.
