This one you display. Bauhaus Clock isn't a widget for checking time. It's a clock for keeping time. Designed for your desk, home office, studio or nightstand — the spaces where your device rests, not where you scroll. Swiss watch mechanics. 28,800 beats per hour. Hand-tuned details you won't consciously notice but will absolutely feel. "This is absolutely stunning." — Chris Messina, Inventor of #hashtag "I love the subtle depth like the hour indices." — John Gruber, Creator of Markdown "It makes me smile, and inspires me to put the same amount of care into my work each time I see it." — Ellane W, Designer & Writer WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT • 3 Authentic Watch Movements Smooth 4Hz mechanical sweep at 28,800 beats per hour. Classic quartz tick. Digital glide motion. Real Swiss caliber accuracy. Not an animation. Physics. • Hand-built dial craft Hand-tuned palettes, custom numerals, depth from real shadowing, built by someone who over-invested so you don't have to pretend it's "good enough." The result looks like a high-end mechanical watch. • 16 Day Dials Each color is deliberately crafted to match your space. Pick the one that feels like yours. • 14 Lume Colors for Night Night mode that reads like real watch lume, with a glow carefully tuned to match authentic luminescence. • Dual Time Zones Your time zone plus any city in the world. Perfect for remote work, travel, or keeping track of family abroad. One glance, two clocks. Both yours to tune. • Dial Shuffle Enable once. Every launch surprises you with a new dial and lume combination. A different dial every time you open the app. • Home Screen Widget Three widget types: local time, Dual Time, or world clock. Customize each widget on its own, or keep them all in sync with the app. • Day & Night Scheduling Three ways to control when your clock dial switches in Auto Mode: Follow System, switch at actual Sunset to Sunrise, or set your own Time Schedule. • Automatically Launch on Charging Automate once via Shortcuts. Every time you charge, your iPhone or iPad becomes a desk clock. • StandBy Mode Built for iOS StandBy, night mode activates automatically to match the dark, minimal aesthetic. • Burn-in Protection Smart algorithms subtly shift the clock's position to keep your screen safe during extended use. WHAT PEOPLE SAY AND FEEL "Makes me so happy whenever the clock pops up." — Hyatt N., Director "It brings me so much joy." — Anthony Menecola "Incredible attention to detail." — Fons Mans, Founder of Offgrid.inc Bauhaus Clock started as a screensaver for Mac. Built by a designer who loves watches and couldn't find one he actually wanted to look at. Every detail is intentional. The weight of the hands, the numerals, the texture of the dial, the way light hits the indices. Featured by MKBHD, MacRumors and Uncrate. Now on iPhone and iPad. WHAT YOU DON'T GET No ads. I assumed this was like, functional clock wallpaper, or something, which seemed cool; it is on me for not reading. It’s not that, it’s a clock widget, which I already had, from the clock app on my phone. I guess you can make this one green, so there’s that. I’m giving it five stars because it does exactly what it says it does—be a clock widget—perfectly well, and because I respect a good grift. -- cleb8, 2026-08-12 ### ***** "A Work of Art" The attention to detail is unlike any app I have ever interacted with. Atilla is a super nice guy too! Very responsive with any questions I had and took the time to explain everything thoroughly. -- Will Talbert, 2026-06-05 ### ***** "Turn something ordinary into a small moment of appreciation." Bauhaus Clock is one of those rare apps that turns something as ordinary as checking the time into a small moment of appreciation. Every element feels carefully balanced, from the proportions of the dial to the movement of the hands. The design stays true to the Bauhaus philosophy, where simplicity and function work together without sacrificing beauty. What I enjoy most is watching the hands sweep across the face. The animation is so smooth and deliberate that it feels less like a digital display and more like a finely tuned mechanical instrument. There’s a subtle sense of weight and precision to the movement, almost as if gears and springs are working behind the glass. Many clock apps simply display the time. Bauhaus Clock creates the impression of a crafted object. The attention to detail, restrained color palette, and thoughtful motion make it feel like you’re looking at a beautifully engineered timepiece rather than pixels on a screen. It’s a small app, but one that demonstrates how great design can elevate even the simplest experience. -- g3r4rd8, 2026-06-03 ### ***** "Great" One minor request: option to make the second hand visible in dark mode. Also what about an Apple Watch face? -- ThisReviewerr, 2026-06-01 ### ***** "Just What I Expected - Beautiful!" I’ve been a user of the Bauhaus Clock for desktop and it’s beautiful. When I saw the app was now available for iPhone and iPad, I made the purchase without hesitation. The clock looks wonderful on both iPad and iPhone. The new dual clock feature is gorgeous as well. Whatever else Atilla has in the pipeline of apps, count me in! 499 stars! -- Ben Shirley, 2026-05-17 ### ***** "My favorite" Simple, beautiful and functional. What more do you need. -- Switt01, 2026-05-15 ### ***** "Beautiful Design and Craftsmanship" Day-one purchase for me, and this is actually my first time writing an App Store review. Not a complaint — just a couple of minor observations regarding the app icon in dark mode: 1. It uses a true black background instead of the darker grey-to-black gradient style recommended by Apple. I understand this is likely intentional to reflect the app’s UI and aesthetic, but at times it can feel slightly out of place alongside other Home Screen icons. 2. The icon details (clock hand and numbers) always use the blue (lagoon) color, even when changing the app icon color. It might feel more cohesive if the dark icon also reflected the selected light-mode icon color. 5 out of 5 regardless — excellent work. -- Mustafa Asa’ad, 2026-05-13 ### ***** "Stunning" This app is the epitome of the Charles Eames quote, “The details are not the details. They make the design.” Well done! -- mmcwatters, 2026-05-12 ### ***** "The Craft of the Clock" This is the most beautiful clock you can have on your screen. Every detail is so well done. Worth every penny. -- Kris Puckett, 2026-05-11 ### ***** "Gorgeous!" I have this app on my Mac and when it was released on iOS and iPadOS, I bought it right away. This is such a beautiful app and each time you look at it, it’ll make you smile. It also supports charging and standby mode, which is a nice alternative to Apple’s native options. The developer updates the app frequently and is active with those who buy his apps. -- Ali Shafai, 2026-05-08 ### ***** "Perfect" So nice! -- S…M…B, 2026-05-06 ### ***** "The Best .Period" Hands down the best clock app in the App Store. -- srl7741, 2026-05-05 [View all Bauhaus Clock reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## Bauhaus Clock Store Rankings | Chart | Country | Category | Rank | |-------|---------|----------|------| | Top Paid | Singapore | Lifestyle | #6 | | Top Paid | Argentina | Lifestyle | #6 | | Top Paid | Brazil | Lifestyle | #9 | | Top Paid | South Korea | Lifestyle | #29 | | Top Paid | United Kingdom | Lifestyle | #35 | | Top Paid | Singapore | Overall | #72 | | Top Paid | United States | Lifestyle | #102 | | Top Paid | India | Lifestyle | #107 | | Top Paid | Czechia | Lifestyle | #110 | | Top Paid | Argentina | Overall | #116 | | Top Paid | Türkiye | Lifestyle | #145 | | Top Paid | Kazakhstan | Lifestyle | #156 | | Top Paid | Ecuador | Lifestyle | #193 | | Top Paid | Egypt | Lifestyle | #197 | | Top Paid | France | Lifestyle | #207 | | Top Paid | Kuwait | Lifestyle | #215 | | Top Paid | Israel | Lifestyle | #229 | | Top Paid | Poland | Lifestyle | #236 | | Top Paid | Brazil | Overall | #241 | ## Bauhaus Clock Discovered Keywords -
