When you share a news article to another app (like Mastodon), the title of the article should be included. Not just the link to the article.
Cannot even click on a photo to open it. No zoom allowed in normal article view, so studying photos and zooming is a thing of the past
I really hate the new update of the BBC app. It’s new layout is very unclear and messy. Making it less appealing and easy to read an article. A complete downgrade!
Although I appreciate more content, as a nonnative speaker, I need to occasionally check words by using the “Look up” function of my mobile. This is not possible anymore. It’s sad, as BBC was a crucial tool to improve my English vocabulary. Moreover, in the new version, pictures cannot be zoomed in; this is so disappointing, as it makes the app less mobile friendly and gives a poor user experience
I very much preferred the simple straightforward version of this app two major overhauls ago. Why was it necessary to change? It used to be clear and simple to scroll the menus and quick to get a fair overview of the main news. But not anymore. Could you reintroduce the old version please? Not the previous one, but the one before? I have started to use the bbc news app less and less, preferring to use other news apps and websites more.

The app has gone down the drain since its recent overhaul. It used to work fine. Now the nuisance already starts upon opening the app, when I get prompted to register or sign in. Every. Time. Stop this nonsense! Inside the app, it doesn’t get any better. Am I scrolling through a news app or a human interest magazine? It’s headlines like ‘Where to find the best sushi in Tokyo?’ And ‘Why this cat really has nine lives’ that ruin my experience. The increasing stream of push notifications reflect this: the focus lies on featured stories, UK news and clickbait. Breaking news alerts? Barely. I cannot change these settings either. I receive alerts or not. And why does the app now have a separate ‘News’ section? I thought this was a news app in itself? All in all I’m less inclined to use the app on a daily basis. BBC, what were you thinking?
Much better than the former update: more text and less pictures. The former update made BBC News into a tabloid, now it is more seriously. The only reason for not giving five stars: the amount of trackers. I don't need personalisation.
Interface is not attractive. Looks more like a website than an app. Lots of scrolling. Font not that easy to read. Cannot distinguish where articles end and next begins. Not a good upgrade.
