Gone user-unfriendly.
The new version is more difficult to browse. Instead of swiping left to go back, you now have to reach for the ‘back’ button or cross symbol at the top corners.
New update =(
The old app was replaced with this? Nowhere near as fluid, especially when scrolling. Even the desktop version isnt easy to navigate. I use iphone Xr
Awful
It used to be great, now it is awful. Bring back the news, stop pushing us views
Update is terrible
BBC seems to be a leader in making apps worse with every update. I think this last update will finally lead me to deleting he app altogether.
No longer usable
Used to rely on the BBC News app, but all usability was destroyed by the March 2024 update. Now it’s full of annoying and distracting video ads that interrupt your reading and use up outrageous amounts of data. Navigability is gone, and you can’t even continue reading an article if you need to turn on flight mode.
Not opening
Before it worked fine, now if I open the app just get message saying no wifi connection this is on iPad and iPhone, if it doesn’t get fixed soon I will delete it and just use the Al Jazeera app which works great and news is also great standard.
Who’s the clown overseeing the app?
A slight improvement over the previous update but no where near as good as it used to be. Changing for changing sake.
Ads ads ads
Auto playing ads that make it too frustrating to read a story. I’ve always had this app installed but it’s deleted now.
Full of Ads
Since the latest update, you are now barraged with advertisements. Deleted this app, there were just so many ads that it completely ruined the reading experience. It breaks the passages into tiny chunks with huge ads in the middle.
