Looks like video version is forced on to user. I can’t watch video (with Audio) at my work setting or outside settings where silence is preferred. In new version, where’s the Text Version (which we could read) as earlier -- Prm99, 2025-01-02 ### *---- "Back to 2000" If the goal of this new “vintage” app was to take the BBC back to the early 2000’s, they nailed it. They had the virtue and the “talent” to roll back every enhancement made over the last 15 years and end up with a mediocre app that can now be filled up with an increasingly obvious level of anti-China, anti-Russia, warmonger colonialist propaganda. Great job BBC! 🎯 -- mmbilbao, 2024-12-31 ### ***** "Objective" Eclectic,, balanced, informative, world-widely comprehensive & objective ! -- PatrickThomas, 2024-12-20 ### *---- "Fix the video feed auto start of the articles." The new changes of the BNC News app continues to annoy users like me. In addition to lacking My Topics section, the articles with video automatically play video with Ad as soon as I click open the articles, before even I read the description about the video to decide whether to listen/watch the video with NO pallPAUSE BUTTON available. Therefore I end up hurriedly closing the article before I even know what it is about. EXTREMELY ANNOYING and you are losing an opportunity to have someone like me to decide to endure the Ad and watch the video. Poor choice of changes. I am sure someone thought it would be an automated way to have captive audience. In reality you are losing potential audience due to this annoying feature. Dumb. -- Kaytou, 2024-12-18 ### ***-- "Great news and options but annoying continuity" Love the news Global News Podcast, but usually loses my episode and goes back to the home screen every time I leave the app is starting to get very irritating. I understand that my exact spot where I left off might go away if I leave it for a day, but if I pause and need to switch to another app and then come back only 10 minutes later and the episode I’m on disappears and goes back to the main screen is very annoying. Then I have to go and find my episode every time instead of staying on the screen that I left it. It does remember the spot that I left off in the episode, which I appreciate, but I wish it stayed on that screen. -- Debmwright, 2024-12-14 ### ***** "real news" real world news -- 🐵🙈🙉🕷🦂🦀, 2024-12-13 ### ***-- "Good news app" OK app, but the UI needs a bit more refinement. The top portion of the media player screen bleeds into and blends with the iOS status bar making the snooze and share buttons inaccessible. -- shywiz, 2024-12-09 ### ***** "Bring back the BBC World radio service to shortwave HF radio bands." Excellent World Service as usual! -- hf CB hhbgb, 2024-12-08 ### *---- "App" Sleep timer poorly integrated -- glpm, 2024-12-08 ### ***** "News update" A reliable news source. Mode of broadcast unbeatable. -- EMERITUS2001, 2024-12-07 [View all BBC World Service reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## BBC World Service Discovered Keywords -
