Evaluation of BBC World News for USA

July 7, 2024 As a retired worker and mother who spent a lot of my spare time when my children were growing up doing volunteer work. I was cash strapped so, we did very little to no traveling as a family. What we did do, is watch a great deal of PBS programming to give our kids a broader more balanced view of the world and the information we received. We, also stated our opinions and why we held them. My children’s father was very conservative and I am both fiscally and politically very liberal. We often used these events as teaching moments, sharing historical facts, the values we hold as lenses to clarify why we make many of the decisions we do, and why we spend our precious dollars based on our values. Never Disappoints

BBC World Service offers balanced, thorough news reporting as well as insightful, varied programming. Informative while entertaining—a daily must-listen.

Problems with button locations

This app could be great, but it puts buttons at the edge of the screen, overlapping the clock, network status, and battery status. Because of that placement, the buttons are visible but can’t be used.

Very informative and wonderful app

I am very, very grateful to the BBC in London for making their apps accessible to screen readers. I am totally blind and I must use voice the screen reader for the iPhone and talk back the screen reader for my android device and I am so grateful that the BBC has made these apps accessible to screen readers. I hope that everyone will take the lead and make all their apps accessible. Thank you so much, Brent Bacome.

I read the app on an iPad and am disappointed that it does not auto orient to a landscape mode. What’s up with this?
