Been a member for over 10 years. This app has been through some changes. Recently there is a bug that prevents me from claiming my rewards cash to direct deposit.

BCU notified me saying the was unusual activity. They said that someone was logged into my account  at 1:45pm. I said it wasn’t not knowing they were referring to CST, I’m on EST. When I realized it was me, I let them know, but they refused to lift the restrictions. I was supposed to move and was not able to because I can’t pay my movers. They told me to go into a local branch and make my deposits……where? And none of the local CU even know who they are. There was another issue where they didn’t believe the money i was putting into ATMs was real money……the froze my account because of that too. How can you put fake money into an ATM and why make the insinuation? Why?????  They will have you inconvenienced randomly and they do not care. The people in that department are rude and insensitive. I am closing my account ASAP.

The app keeps sending ads to my notifications with no option to disable them. Pretty scummy.

The developer says to just turn push notifications off, but then I wouldn’t get security alerts pushed to my phone.

I’m beyond frustrated with this app. Every time I try to log in, I get stuck on the cloud verification step…it never goes through. When I try using a web browser instead, it tells me I have to log in through the app or get a verification code from the app… which I can’t access because of the same broken cloud verification. I end up having to call just to check my balance or wait for a text. It’s exhausting. I just want to see my active balance,this should not be this complicated.

The app is nice looking but, transactions and recent purchases don’t update unless I completely close out of the app and re log in. Kinda annoying. Also pending transactions with multiple purchases changes the number of available funds I have in my account. One point it said I had around 400 then the next day it said I had 700 then the day after all transactions where finished I was at 180 which threw me off so how could I know how much I have left if they don’t just subtract the transaction right off the bat

I feel like BCU has gone downhill since they made the decision to change to this new banking app, which I don't even hate. That said, a couple of things could make it better. Why do we not have the ability to request a credit limit increase without calling? It's 2025, we want to submit a request online, not spend 30 minutes on the phone. Second, many people these days use aggregators for convenience or budgeting and when you use one like let's say YNAB, Copilot, Monarch, etc. The pending transactions show as payments instead of pending charges because BCU shows it as a negative number in pending transactions. It's been this ways for way too long, can you please fix that? Those are small meaningful improvements that would make this better for everyone.

I am furious! Love this credit union! People are great. But how the heck the unlock and lock feature is NO where to be found today and my cards are locked! I can’t use any one of them thru my Apple Pay and I have things I need to purchase! I’ve searched high and low! It’s completely gone. Then the wait time 45 minutes and chat is closed today
