Last year the electric bikes that would be available were commonly not charged and due to the weight of the bike it was counter intuitive to ride the bike compared to walking. But when the bikes were charged it was a nice experience to be able to rent a bike for an hour around the beach town of Santa Cruz. This year many of the bike docking stations would have trouble. Many would be covered unable to dock the bike and the app would not indicate the correct number of open docks resulting in myself having to ride a bike to 4 separate stations just to dock the bicycle. They charged me more than the price of the Day Pass in fees bc we didn’t know we had to dock the bikes every hour. Customer service was completely cold and unhelpful. Also, now that I’m here, I will say that the bikes are super rickety and uncomfortable.
