Bear - Markdown Notes

There's a ton of options you can use. They don't steal your private informations which is so important for me. Extra features for tho who want to support them.

Had phone trouble, wiped clean, redownloaded the app and everything was in its right place. Watched it load in right in front of me.

I switched over from Evernote to this app. Over the course of a few weeks I migrated all my notes over . I migrated over and never looked back! Fantastic app thanks for making it!

My favourite app. I love Bears and I love how useful this app is. The pro version is SO worth it. Instantly saves across all devices. So good.

Love it! Looks great and works great. Included documentation helped me learn the tool and put it to good use.

Hiding the useful tools just a tap away residing just above the keyboard replaced with a waste a time consuming step by having to click “B/U” to reach it and then again tapping to go back so 2 TAPS of unnecessary waste of time to choose is two steps backwards. Especially on an iPad which has a big enough screen. What were you guys thinking with it smh.. Please at least give us the legacy setting of having it the way it was before for those that actually know how great of a notetaking on the go features those were. Don’t try to make something too simple like that. That looks more like a Lite build feature sure maybe it works on iOS/phone perhaps (even though iPhones have grown biggest in size over the years..) Hope you take this review into serious consideration. Thank you.

I used to write with others. I have published seven books in the Kobo Library. But now I fancy “Bear.” Why? It: Has the price point is right. Works acroos all iOS tools. Accepts markdown. Incorporates images easily. Is very intuitive. The learning curve is not steep. Since the recent update, the app has managed to lose written entries during general screen refreshes when switching between apps. The ability to start an entry and revisit the app between app screens wasn’t a problem until now. With several apps facing vulnerability issues due to Apple’s lack of awareness to exploits used against their customers it’s concerning that any app, especially one touting the best security measures preventing anyone including themselves from accessing personal data would allow for a vulnerability to present itself in this manner. This was a good app until this occurred but, will be expecting an update to bring the app back to the level it was at in terms of ensuring that entries will always remain secure. Run some tests on your software and ensure that entries will not be affected with the next update. Take into consideration as well that the app is running on a paid subscription with features that are an added benefit that doesn’t necessarily need to be used in securing data but, every single entry using the encryption method has to be checked now too to ensure they haven’t been deleted as well. It’s software. It isn’t always perfect but, at least the app developer (and other customers who may be experiencing similar if not the same problem) can be made alerted to the issue.

Seriously, no LaTeX support in 2024? Ridiculous. Seemed like a potential alternative to Obsidian, but nope…they decided that this app would not be for people who use math

This app is way better than MS Word. It simplifies all of the features and also has cool options to turn it into HTML or a website coding for you. It as good instructions that are clear and easy to learn how to use the features. There are some issues with glitches, like I am having a problem with a gray bar appearing on every new note and can’t get rid of it. I don’t know how it got there. There’s also an issue when I double click on trying to select something in a note I am editing and it suddenly makes the not disappear and tells me to open a note or make a new one. Has a few issues but it’s pretty good.
