## BEATSURFING 2 Description
BEATSURFING transforms music production and performance.

With its movement-based approach, BEATSURFING opens the door to creative expression like never before in music creation. Quickly sketch out ideas, integrate them into your music and use your creations for a compelling live performance.

Get inspired
Looking for that perfect snare, or have you sampled the perfect kick? 
Browse other producers’ instruments or layouts then tweak or replace samples with your own to get the sound you’re looking for.

This is only the beginning! 
The app is currently in Early Access with a focus on Drum instruments. We are working hard to expand the functionality of BEATSURFING, from expanding the current Ableton link integration to integrating with all DAWS and controllers, we have many things coming soon.

- BEATSURFING BROWSER: Drag & Drop instruments/samples and play them

- After 12 months, upgrade to get the next 12 months of instruments and features. You choose whether and when to upgrade.

### ****- "Amazing in standalone but…"
….AUv3 mode is buggy! It just seems to fall apart whenever I plug it into AUM. It works for a few mins but then freezes if I try to make any visual changes like adding backgrounds and sometimes even when adding instruments. Find myself having to open it in stand alone mode to create new maps then opening them to play inside a host app. But I can’t make any changes without fear of freezing the app. I hope this gets fixed soon. I’d really love to rely on AUv3 mode for adding improv performances to my sequenced loops and beats and even doing sound design. Please fix auv3 mode!! 😩

I downloaded this awhile ago, wanted to learn to use it, but wanted to wait until I could focus on it for a month to not end up paying for a subscription for multiple months while doing nothing. Found out from Jakob Haq that it’s a one time payment now and buying it now. Look forward to learning it.

Fun stuff, I was just wondering if we could include making your own sounds using sampler or modular synth… also, what about like the ability to make your own instruments or maybe more presets to include classic sounds like piano, violin, or cello! All in all great app, 5 stars here…. Keep up the good work!

### ***** "Brilliant app and one of few auv made for touch screen"
There are a lot of wonderful creative iaa apps that take great advantage of the touch screen and are not auv3 and then lots of auv3 that are like a computer app and don’t take advantage of how creative it can be with touch screen . This might be the first app that does both auv3 and is unique to a touch screen. It’s also very fun, so much learning and so much you can build . I love how I can build a groove box, make loops and also make live beats. Also the main website has a lot of user uploaded maps that you can download as patches.

I bought the app! Why? Because it “FINALLY” has AUV3 support and couldnt be much happier. BeatSurfing 2 + Loopy Pro makes for an incredible live beat making experience. 

Used this on my last live performance and it truly was a hit with the crowd.

### **--- "Update! No AU or IAA is very limiting"
This is a truly unique and customizable instrument/drum machine! At first glance it looks confusing but the tutorial vid is well thought out and gives insight on how to play it. After a minute or two it’s very addicting and I have so many ideas to incorporat this into my work…. BUT the lack of basic Audio Unit and IAA support on an Apple device keeps it on the shelf for me.

Update: So for the responsive Devs (thank you!) reply AU and IAA functionality (very limited)  has been added BUT the app crashes immediately when loading a map.  I have yet to test the functionality due to a crashing version that is basically unusable.

I’ve been here since the PlayGround days. Awesome stuff and love the customizability in this one. 

Two things that I’ve come across day 1. 

1) Please please please add an undo/redo button. That would shave off literally half of the setup time

2) When Xing out of the tutorial video, the app crashes… Every. Time.

Would normally not rate an app I need to restart constantly with four stars but it also happens to be my favorite app to make beats on. Please fix whatever is causing the audio browser to lock up to what’s on screen rather than letting me scroll and I will update to five stars.

I should have paid closer attention but i was all agog over the sale. No IAA or AUV3. Standalone only. Future improvements promised. I work primarily in AUM so for me this app is fairly useless until I can get it in my workflow. Still fun to play with and it can record but needs AUv3 to be kickass.

Trying the free version out and just getting to many bugs. Sounds stops working when adding a new pad, app froze. Love the concept but can’t drop $$ if this is going to not give a good user experience.

Dope. I am all ambient so it is not really an app that I imagined id even try out for more than a minute. However, it is extremely fun, intuitive, really well designed, and creative. I am impressed. I have quite a few drum machines but none of them is as rad as this.

I love this app! It really is great, but until I can use it in Loopy Pro or AUM it is useless to my setup. I want to be able to start off a fresh improv set with some sweet samurai swiped beats, but I cannot. I will change my rating when this is implemented. I know there are talks of plans for this update, but everyone is already using AUs and IAA for so many things, why the wait? Not to be harsh, but that’s how I feel. Love the app, but I will love it more when it works with the firmly established iOS music ecosystem!

### ***** "Been waiting YEARS for this"
I swear this is the future of music production. Sick workflow. Solid design. Capabilities that no other standalone app has (I had to buy a controller app, a bunch of auv3s, an auv3 host app, AND code my own midi quantizer in mozaic just to pull of the same thing using other apps).

The devs are super active. They understand software AND they understand music (I find it tends to be one of the other when it comes to music apps).They’ve even got real investors, they’re a real company, and they’re awesome people.
