Doesn’t work well with iPhone
I’ve been following this guys videos on YouTube for years. Just found his app and was excited to try it out. It doesn’t work well at all with iPhone and most of the features in the pictures from the App Store aren’t available and can’t even see some of them on the screen. The videos have part of the guys head cut off and super small picture. In the Choose a Lick section, I can only access up to number 24 when there is at least 25, but can’t select it because the app doesn’t fit the screen well. I don’t see any music notation to follow along with, while watching the videos either. Very misleading from the pictures in the App Store. Would be worth it if it were free, but $9.99 I could’ve found a much better app that is compatible with iPhone.
Super satisfied!!!
Thanks for a super slappy good time!
So good. So funky.
Best $9.99 You Will Ever Spend!
If you are thinking about buying something to get your your slap bass technique going, buy this. It is intelligently thought out, with 25 lessons. Each lesson has the transcription and tab, as well as one of four screens you can watch: 1) full-speed, 2) slow-speed, 3) right hand, and 4) left hand. It also has an adjustable metronome so that you can adjust the speed to the speed you feel most comfortable with. Controls for the bass, drums, and click make it very easy to adjust the volume level of Marlowe’s bass while increasing yours. Even some cosmetic things, like adjusting the neck from maple to rosewood, as well as written notes to help explain the technique you are learning. Believe me, if you want to get your slap and pop going, buy this app. This is a wonderful teaching application!
Stuck on gray screen
The app is stuck displaying a gray screen after the splash screen gets displayed.
You will learn!
Great app. This is the first bass app that others will be measured by. Great job Marlowe!
Excellent slap bass app
Everything you need to get started on slap bass is here and easy to follow with multiple angles to help you understand every detail of each technique and style. Highly recommended.
Keeps exiting after each video
Frankly, the videos are great and I really want to use this, but after I watch a video on the app the entire program exits.
This is the best
To the point, quality, good, bass player excellent, Good teacher, If you finish his program you will have what you need. It would be great to see what he uses between his fingers to my ears with his equipment. This is a must for all want to learn slap bass and improve their technique.
Perfect
I love the format of this. Makes it easy to see exactly what is happening. I hope MarloweDK will make another app focusing on finger style.
Direct to the point effective!
This is one of the best instructional bass apps. It is direct to the point and effective. I just wish the written tips and comments for each lick or technique were in video form as well. Great App great guy. Buy the app and support an artist that deserves it and has been contributing to the world of bass instruction in a positive way at no charge for many years.
