Belanjawanku App is a budget tracking app that aims to help you manage your finances, save more and spend less. Based on research by the Social Wellbeing Research Centre (SWRC), Belanjawanku takes into account the cost of living in the city where you live, your marital status, your stage of life, your mode of transport as well as other factors to generate the right budget for you.
Features in the app include:
1. Budget building based on SWRC’s research which provides recommendations on minimum monthly expenses and how much you need to set aside for savings.
2. Budget planning and monitoring – Keeps track of your monthly expenses and allows switching between two budget guides according to your preferences. You can choose between the Belanjawanku or the Rule of Thumb guide when you first set up, or change it any time in your profile.
3. Tips, guides and information on personal financial planning, financial management and much more.

Is Belanjawanku legit?
🤔 The Belanjawanku app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
Just trying to use this to gauge my spending habits. Quite user friendly but it is rather fixed with no options to add categories like insurance or fixed and discretionary expenses. There is also no option to add income as sometimes people do get a windfall.
Amazing and its free
Been doing my budgeting on excel all this while. But this apps helps a lot. You can input your expenses very smoothly. You will be able to see your balance in case you have future spending plan like going holiday.
Fix the bug please
New month..but still calculating the previous month expenses.
Lots of improvements, but good start
I really like the UI for the front page, dividing savings into 3 (short medium long) is a really good way to separate savings.
However, a lot of basic features can be added:
1. When adding expenses, please an option to add Category, I notice a lot of it is missing. For example: Food/Meals is too general, there should be two: Groceries & meals out. And groceries are Needs while Meals out could be Wants. And loans are more than just House & Car, I’d like to add Education loan (for millions of malaysians with PTPTN loans cmon).
2. I realized that the formula for 50/30/20 ratio for Needs/Wants/Savings is missing. Please include different ratio formulas that are popular globally to ensure different users with different needs & backgrounds can use this app.
3. There should be a monthly, yearly view dashboards to see expenses across several months.
4. There should be features that allow us to evaluate trends of our spending in each category.
To add +money features
i would be so much better if we can add on positive / passive income
Unable to look back older expenses
It will become grey when I look back to older expenses
Good app
Should add payment for credit card or other financing to reflect more about commitment expenditure
Fix the Bug
Don’t know who else face problem as me. The budget keep on “Belanjawanku”. I am prefer for “Rule of Thumb”. Alway many time reset, still unchanged. And there is no reset for new month. Calculating from previous month.
Sekarang jumlah transaksi dikira keseluruhan, tiada tempoh sebulan/setahun.
Saya harap ada perubahan. Terima kasih.
Still calculated the previous month's expenses
The spent still calculated the previous month. There is no automatic new calculation.
