I wanted to relearn belly dance, because I simply didn’t have time for it for many years. I tried her YouTube workouts, but wanted a class like setting with her. This program is exactly what I wanted from her. I hope to become an advanced student.
Leilah is an amazing person and dancer. It’s a lot of fun to work out with her. There are sessions more like workouts to get you moving, choreographies, stretches, etc. Something for everyone.
The only reason I downloaded this (frankly boring) app was to let people know the TRUTH and only the truth. Despite making a living profiting off Middle Eastern culture, Leilah Issac is in full support of the Israeli governments despicable and genocidal actions against innocent children in Gaza, going so far as to even like racially degrading posts about Gazans and all Palestinians on Instagram. If you have any respect for the art of bellydance and it’s origins, do NOT download this app.
This is a fantastic app. I love how simple it is to use. It’s pretty and intuitive. The new calendar that Leilah just added is great. She outlines classes to take every day and you don’t even have to think about which ones to do! The belly dance courses are well put together. Leilah is a great teacher. She’s caring, experienced, uplifting, and she has a lovely down to earth spirit. I highly recommend this app and her youtube channel to anyone wanting to learn belly dance or if you’re wanting to get fit doing something beautiful and fun. ;o)
This is a great resource for aspiring dancers and those on a fitness journey. I love the choreographies, the easy to follow breakdown of all the moves, as well as the workouts which are broken down into beginner, intermediate, and advanced. My favorite thing about the app is that I get to workout without it feeling like a workout, this is really what keeps me coming back.
