BeReal is the simplest photo-sharing app where you and your friends post once a day to show what you’re really up to.
Every day at a random time, everyone gets the same two-minute window to take and share a photo. The camera snaps both the front and back simultaneously, capturing the real moment. No filters — just real life, as it happens.
You won’t find influencers here. You’ll find your friends making coffee, walking to class, lying on the floor, laughing at nothing, or stuck in traffic. It’s not about looking perfect. It’s about being present and staying connected in a way that’s honest, unfiltered, and sometimes unintentionally hilarious.
Post on time or post late—it still counts. Comment, react with your face using RealMojis, or just scroll through your circle’s day. Your BeReal feed is private by default, unless you choose to go public and see what others are up to around the world.
If you’re tired of chasing clout and scrolling endless edits, BeReal is your once-a-day reset. One daily notification. Two minutes. Real friends, real moments.
Download BeReal and join the social network that’s not trying to be one.

BeReal FAQ
Is BeReal free?
Yes, BeReal is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is BeReal legit?
⚠️ The BeReal app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
The newest face lift update has changed this app for the WORST. An app that was about ‘being real’ now has an endless scroll feature promoting people you don’t know with video ads in between! They’ve taken away the wonderful simplicity of seeing what your friends are up to. Real sell out energy and very disappointing.
Hope they go back to what it used to be.
Latest update is not good
Introducing ads and the new layout has made it lose its magic!
Used to be great but has really downgraded
Used to love this app but now it’s like any other social media platform with ads and a home feed with influencers posting 24/7. It’s gone against everything that BeReal used to be about with its “anti-social social media” mantra and it’s gotten to the point where I’ve deleted it off my phone.
New layout is dumb
Please change back to the original layout. It keeps getting worse and worse. Hate using the app now.
BeReal declining
Every update this app gets worse, more ads, crappier interface, more bugs
na
new update ain’t it
Too many posts per person
The new update that you can post as many BeReals as you want is extremely stupid. Most of the time now, both me and my friends forget to post BeReals. It is not fun to send a BeReal on time anymore because you know you can just send a BeReal at any time. I think BeReal should go back to only a limited amount of posts and you can only see other people’s BeReals if you have posted for that day (not within the 24 hrs of posting a BeReal). I think a limit of 6 BeReals if you posted on time is good and a limit of 3 BeReals if you posted late. This means that people will try to post BeReal on time. Please go back to only a limited amount of BeReals because a lot more people enjoy it that way. Stop changing BeReal, just take it back to the way it was at the start where it was nice and simple.
