DANGER! Live navigation can stop updating your current position at any time. Currently my current position is 15NM off (SIC!) compared to my correct position and apparently stuck, but speed and heading continues to update. I hoped that this was a one-time issue, but it has happened several times the past two weeks, with both the previous and the current version.
The app can only connect to my Vulcan if mobile data is turned off. If I connect to the Vulcan’s WiFi hotspot while mobile data is enabled I cannot connect to the device. If I disable mobile data I can get a connection, but it is immediately lost if I turn mobile data back on.
The app seems only to be able to connect to the Vulcan if your iPhone is connected to the Vulcan’s WiFi hotspot, and not if the Vulcan and your phone is connected to the same ship WiFi.
The auto route feature is amazing! However, the routes tend to have unnecessary many waypoints, and there is no possibility to edit the auto added waypoints on an auto generated route. And if you sync an auto generated route to the Vulcan, edit it there, and then sync back, you can no longer edit the route in the app. The many waypoints is a problem when (not if) the Vulcan self reboots during sailing, as it doesn’t remember where you are along the route, and you will have to press next waypoint (which is 3 presses) until you are back on the right place along the route.
Not all tracks are synced for some reason.
Even though the Vulcan is running the latest firmware, released just some month ago, some icons on waypoints created on the Vulcan doesn’t show correctly in the app as they are considered obsolete legacy icons, and some icons on waypoints created in the app doesn’t show correctly on the Vulcan.
I have never gotten the Apple Watch app to work. It just says “No device found”.
The app has such great potential, but at the moment it is just a slightly more convenient way to input and then sync waypoints to your B&G device, and that is not worth a premium subscription.

Besviken
Zeus2 use
Hi Then could I use it to plan rutes for Zeus2?
Riktigt bra
Kört mycket Navionics. Denna har mycket tydligare sjökort, bättre sök och synkar snyggt via molnet med plottern. Funkar även om man inte kör C-Map i plottern. Toppen.
Import .gpx from Files app
Can you please fix so it is possible to import .gpx files via the share menu on iOS? Works in C-map app so shouldn't be a hard fix? I import the files from icloud/files, but B&G isn't available as an option when opening the .gpx file.
Not fixed 1,5 months after reporting.
Secondly, .gpx imports are not working. Reported in Navico Case #:CA10755897. Can you please fix this?
