## Bhagavad Gita The Song of God Description
Your first four paragraphs were strong and are all still true, so I kept them nearly verbatim and rebuilt only the feature lists.

Bhagavad Gita — The Song of God is a comprehensive commentary by Swami Mukundananda on the timeless wisdom given to Arjun by Shree Krishna on the battlefield of Kurukshetra.

Unable to deal with the immediate problem at hand, Arjun approached Shree Krishna for a palliative to overcome the anguish he was experiencing. Shree Krishna did not just advise him on his immediate problem but digressed to give a profound discourse on the philosophy of life.

In this authoritative commentary, Swami Mukundananda reveals the original meanings of the verses with crystal clear explanations and perfect logic. Adopting a comprehensive and holistic approach not attempted hitherto, he intersperses his purports with illustrative stories and real-life examples to make the teachings easy to comprehend and implement in everyday living. He masterly quotes from all the Vedic scriptures and many other sacred texts, opening up a panoramic view to help us see through the window of the Bhagavad Gita, the whole Absolute Truth.

This is the most popular commentary on the Bhagavad Gita ever. Read by millions on it has now been completely rebuilt as an app.

Every verse is presented in five layers: the original Sanskrit shloka, Transliteration, Word Meanings, Translation, and Commentary.

KEY FEATURES

1. A verse a day, every day. Turn on notifications and the Verse of the Day comes to you each morning — one shloka, with its meaning, to reflect on before the day begins. Steady daily reading is how spiritual progress actually happens.

2. Read in 6 languages. English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Gujarati and Odia. Download only the languages you want, and more can be added without waiting for an app update.

3. Read anytime, anywhere. Download a language once and the entire Gita is yours offline — on a flight, in the hills, or with no signal at all.

4. Seamless reading experience. Move from one verse to the next with a swipe. The app remembers where you stopped and offers to continue from there.

5. Track your reading progress. See how many verses you have read in each chapter and how far through it you are.

6. Bookmark any verse. Tap the bookmark icon to keep a shloka in My Bookmarks — even before you have signed in.

7. Your own account, in seconds. Register with your name and your phone number or email, verify with a 6-digit code, and you are in. Logging in later uses the same one-time code — there is no password to remember, and nothing to reset.

8. Your journey on every device. Once signed in, your bookmarks and reading progress sync automatically, so the Gita you left on your phone is waiting on your tablet. Anything you read or save offline syncs the moment you are back online.

9. Comfortable to read. Adjust the verse text size to your liking, in light or dark to match your phone.

10. Easy navigation. All 18 chapters with their traditional names, the Introduction to the Gita, dedications, and the teachings and updates from JKYog — all a tap away.

OTHER FEATURES

1. Free download
2. No advertisements
3. No pop-ups, no spam messages
4. Your data is yours — delete your account and everything stored with it from inside the app, at any time

### ***** "Super"

-- Krishna Kopparapu, 2024-12-22

### ***** "Best Gita App. I’d possible can you provide dark mode"

-- RaoNishanth24, 2024-12-19

### ***** "Best commentary on Bhagavad Gita"
I always keep it with me as my personal guide to live in this world.
-- G. C. pandey, 2024-11-12

### ***** "Amazing work"
I must have read this commentary by Swamy Mukundanand ji 6 or 7 times and found it to be one of the easiest version of Bhagavad Gita to initiate one into reading the great book. I would strongly recommend this commentary to any first time reader and in this process have also gifted its hard copy to multiple friends! This is a must read commentary.
-- Gautam Mehrotra, 2024-11-01

### *---- "Wrong interpretation of Bhagavad Gita"
Very bad commentary about Bhagavad Gita. Swami mukundananda seems to be more secular, this is not fit for learning Bhagavad Gita.
It is not correct to drag the other religions in the Gita.
-- Siri Sarojini, 2024-10-31

### ***** "Shloka for the day"
Please add anvaya in the “Shloka for the day”top page itself below shloka to assist learners to read Sanskrit words. A humble submission 6.47 published today 26th March: Adi Sankara’s commentary on first 5 Shlokas of 12th Ch should also be studied. Take a wholistic instead of a standalone view & guide humanity.

Kindly get Swamiji’s exposition published for the shloka for the day as well; it will benefit. Sravanam is what is recommended which could be strengthened with mananam/transcription
-- Gopalakrishnan Naganathan, 2024-10-08

### ****- "Add save in favourite option please"
Add mark favourite button pleas in all sholks
-- realbeingashish, 2024-09-09

### ****- "Excellent"
One improvement required:
After reading a particular shloka, When we swipe left, screen shows next shloka, but not going to the top of screen in that text.
-- krishnaliadas, 2023-11-28

### ***** "🙏 Thank You Swami Ji"
