## Bid Whist Description
Bid Whist is an exciting, popular partnership trick-taking game. It is played with a standard 52 card deck plus 2 jokers, for a total of 54 cards. There are 4 players consisting of two teams of two; each player sits opposite their partner. The game starts with each team at zero, and the object of the game is to reach a score 7 or more points, or force the other team to go negative 7 or more points. Points are scored by bidding for and winning tricks, which in this game are called books.

*No Trump Bids will double your points(win or lose the bid)
*First Dealer is picked at Random

The Bidding

The turn to bid goes around the table only once starting with the player to the left of the dealer. Each bid consists of a number from 4 to 7, and a suffix "uptown", "downtown", or "no trump".

The number indicates the number of books above 6 that the bidder's team will contract to win - for example a bid of 5 is a promise to win at least 11 books (6 + 5). As there are 13 books in all, 7 is the highest possible bid.
Uptown (or "high") means you intend to name a trump suit, and that high cards will win.
Downtown (or "low") means that you intend to name a trump suit, and that low cards will win.
No Trump means that there will be no trump, and that if you win the bidding you will then determine whether high or low cards will have preference.

## Bid Whist Reviews in United States

### *---- "Political Lies as Ads"
I will not be intimidated and endure lies about what the current “leader” is doing in this country during my leisure time. Uninstalling this and p.
-- ASOLO_TX, 2025-06-09

### **--- "Missing Partner"
Why has one of the partners been removed?
-- Lady diva827, 2025-01-07

### **--- "Ify"
Love bid whist but I wish they go away with all this no trump biding and just play the game all the computer does is bid no trump with absolutely nothing so the game ends now u have to watch an ad
-- 27406, 2024-12-13

### **--- "Bad partner play"
Need to learn how a partner needs to play . Plays like they’re playing against each other .
-- NA Doc, 2024-11-07

### *---- "Predictable"
I know my partner has the high joker and never plays it. He lets the opponent get more unnecessary books. When I pass they always seem to have both jokers ace all the needed card. After game the adds block returning to the game.
-- Boston ticket agent, 2024-10-01

### *---- "Don't play fair"
I bid a 4 no-trump and the machine bid a 4 low no. Really how can that be. This game cheats a lot.
-- Lottagirl, 2024-08-25

### *---- "Partner Often Plays Like An Amateur"
My complaints are the same as others so no need to go into detail but wanted to express my opinion & frustration.👎🏾
-- Champ Butterfly, 2024-04-14

### **--- "Very predictable"
I have played this game because it’s a fairly decent game. However the partner does not know how to play the joker. It’s predictable that everyone will pass and I have to bid and I have three of everything. Every time I get two jokers the bid will be 4 no trump. The adds (as previously mentioned are horrible. Temu is the WORST and the game where the King usually doesn’t get out is HORRIBLE.Finally I understand that advertising is the way to make money but some of the ads take a long long time. Please take time to algorithms so that the game is more competitive.
-- Mebree67, 2024-01-29

### ***-- "When I’m the dealer"
When I’m the dealer, everyone else passes and I MUST BID!! Also the game finds a way to make me the first bidder.
I love this version most of many but could you please be a little more realistic with the bidding process!?
-- kat81198, 2023-10-29

### ****- "Computer Partner Algorithm"
I really like the game and it helps me improve my skills. But my computer partner likes to bid no Trump and never makes it. That’s my only complaint.
