I really like this budget app. It’s so user friendly compared to others and it has been motivating to see our budget laid out like this. My only gripe is that the app often has a delay of several minutes when trying to edit things or add categories after selecting the item. In addition it freezes almost daily forcing me to close the app and try again later.

This app does everything I need it to do and it’s so simple and easy to use. I have been using pocketsmith for years without understanding its features. My budget on Billroo was up and running in a few hours and I like that I can add categories and adjust the budget amounts whenever I like. You can feel the love and effort that has been put into making this.

I often find that the app continually logs me out and doesnt include my most recent transactions in my budget. For example, i have transactions from June, but my “budget” only includes my May transactions. It’s hard to actually keep track of my budget because of all the errors/delays

I’m now in my third month of using Billyroo, and it has been genuinely eye-opening.

By month two I could clearly see my spending habits, and I was honestly shocked at how much money was being wasted without me realising it.

As a result, I renegotiated or changed my electricity, gas, internet, health cover, and home & contents insurance. I cancelled unnecessary streaming services, reduced my work lunch spend, halved my alcohol costs, moved to a smaller council garbage bin, and now always use the cheapest petrol station.

Next month I’ll also shift my grocery shopping to Aldi.

The result? $3,271 saved every year.

This app doesn’t just track spending — it changes behaviour.

Thank you for a great budgeting app that really complements your web-based solution. I really like the secure open banking integration, the helpful dashboard overview, the automatic categorisation of incoming transactions, and also the AI feature to get answers to questions I have. I’ve already reached out to your local support team and found them to be very responsive. You’ve really created a great budgeting solution. 

It’s so good that it is Australian-based too. I’ve tried and tested a lot of different budgeting tools over the past several years and, in my opinion, this one beats them all hands down.

Billroo is easy to use, simple in its design but effective & does everything I need. The set up videos with Queenie are super helpful. The AI tool is also fantastic. Would love to be able to put my Latitude credit card into the banking side though. Cannot find it but think as it may be international it’s not an option.
