BimmerCode for BMW and MINI

Im glad I havent paid for It upfront.. App Is broken unable to connect to car or see any type or adapters. Developers dont care

I bought BimmerCode especially for one reason… the annoying start stop function that I could not live with. The coding is pretty simple, with tons of material on YT. The start stop was disabled by previous owner but after replacing car battery the function was activated again… that means it is possible to disable. BUT, on my F10 10’ the start stop function seems a bit buggy. There are two options, disabling the start stop by default and remembering the last setup. No matter what combination I choose (one on other off, both on), the start stop is deactivated for a week or so and then surprisingly is activated again. In BimmerCode I can still see the correct coding (weird right?), so I have to activate it and then deactivate again and for another week it is ok… When I wrote to support I was told that they cannot help me with this… I was pretty much expecting that, but I was expecting a bit more support than only one mail with “sorry”. So long story short - please, if someone faced the same problem and figured it out let me know! Use something in expert mode maybe? Since otherwise I blew the money out of window.

Took the money and still failed to code, but locked my car out couldn’t get in, it stopped responding, and kept crashing… still trying to figure out how to get a refund! Very poor server crashes every few minutes!

If you are able to connect, it works reasonably well. I found that I needed to refer to the owners manual frequently to understand the name of the thing I needed to fix or change. So far, I have not been able to find a way to use it to correct error codes in my mini. Perhaps it’s not supposed to do that and I just need to read more. My overall experience first time out was that it took me figure out how to get it to connect and after that another hour and a half to make one or two changes. A lot of that has to do with very, very poor connectivity between the OBD dongle and cell phone. Bluetooth, and that’s not the code’s fault.
