## BimmerLink Description
BimmerLink ist die direkte Verbindung zu deinem BMW oder MINI. In Verbindung mit einem der unterstützten OBD-Adapter kannst du ganz einfach selbst Fehlerspeicher auslesen oder dir Messwerte in Echtzeit anzeigen lassen. Finde heraus, wie der aktuelle Zustand des Dieselpartikelfilters in deinem Fahrzeug ist, oder registriere eine neue Batterie nach dem Tausch nun selbst. Mit BimmerLink ist es sogar möglich, die serienmäßig verbaute Abgasklappe fernzusteuern oder das Active Sound Design stummzuschalten.

Führe selbst eine Diagnose an deinem Fahrzeug durch, wie es sonst nur deinem Service Partner möglich ist. Im Gegensatz zu einfachen OBD Apps, die nur abgasrelevante Fehler auslesen können, ermöglicht BimmerLink das Auslesen und Löschen von Fehlern aus ALLEN in deinem BMW oder MINI verbauten Steuergeräten.

Ich finde es ja gut dass ihr das Produkt weiter entwickelt aber wenn man das CarPlay Modul nicht gekauft hat nervt es ungemein dass man bei jedem CarPlay Verbindung darauf hingewiesen wird. Bitte einbauen das man das deaktivieren kann! Früher konnte der Adapter automatisch einfach verbunden werden mit dem Handy. Seit dem Modul - CarPlay wird verbunden, dann muss man im CarPlay aus BimmerLink navigieren und alles nochmal neu manuell verbinden. 

Entweder ihr integriert die Funktionen der Handyapp (Klappensteuerung, usw.) in CarPlay oder aber integriert eine Funktion CarPlay zu deaktivieren. So ist es nur anstrengend und nervig!

Ich habe extra, um in Echtzeit Öltemperatur etc. sehen zu können, das CarPlay Addon gekauft.
An sich funktioniert es mit dem VEEPEAK BLE.
Allerdings ist die Verbindung mit bluetooth extrem langsam und werte kann man in Echtzeit nicht ablesen, da nur alle paar Sekunden aktualisiert wird.
Also habe ich mir einen MHD Universal WIFI Adapter gekauft. Dann extra, da ich CarPlay verwende ein Kabel zu der Carplay Box verlegt. Mit dem Resultat, dass auch, wenn ich CarPlay per Kabel nutze mir die Meldung in der CarPlay App angezeigt wird, dass ich einen Bluetooth Adapter benötige.
Dies finde ich sehr schade und macht letztendlich das 10€ teure CarPlay addon nutzlos.

Bitte liebes Team, aktiviert CarPlay mit einem Wifi Adapter, wenn das iPhone per USB mit CarPlay verbunden ist. 

Außerdem wäre es super, wenn man wie einen Widget hätte, welchen man auf der ersten Seite hat, in welchem man z.B. 4 werte anzeigen kann. 
Hier weiß ich aber nicht, ob dies von Seiten Apple möglich wäre.

Aber wie gesagt ganz wichtig ist für mich, dass ich den Wifi Adapter nutzen kann, während CarPlay per Kabel verbunden ist.

Habe mir die App voller Erwartung für BMW M4 Cabrio geholt. Es hat mehrere Versuche gebraucht, bis die Bluetooth Verbindung geklappt hat. Wenn es dann mal endlich funktioniert hat und man kurz die App gewechselt und anschließend wieder zurück ist, ging die Verbindung wieder nicht. So kann man das nicht nutzen. Auch die versprochene Steuerung des Klappenauspuffs geht nicht. Die Einstellung steht auf Auto und egal was man macht, es schaltet immer auf Auto um. Viel Versprechen, viel Geld für kaum nutzbare App, Finger weg, bei dem Preis.

Der Aufpreis von 9,99€ für CarPlay ist unverschämt, solange das einzige Feature darin besteht, ein paar Messwerte anzuzeigen.  Wenigstens die Klappensteuerung sollte hier schleunigst nachgeliefert werden. So ist das Abzocke. Die jetzige Funktion hätte ich auch in 2h implementiert. Eure Apps sind ja ohnehin schon sehr teuer.

Beworben wird wird mit der klaren Aussage: „… ermöglicht BimmerLink das Auslesen und Löschen von Fehlern aus ALLEN in deinem BMW oder MINI verbauten Steuergeräten.“ Doch genau hier hapert es! Wir haben mehrfach versucht einen alten Fehler der Leuchtweitenregulierung zu löschen. Fehlanzeige. Damals bei BMW entfernen lassen und Jahre lang Ruhe gehabt. Nach Umrüstung auf LED-Nebelscheinwerfer (dank BimmerCode einfach codiert) wieder aufgetaucht. 40€ in die Tonne?

Edit: 3 Sterne weil die App viel kann und der Support hervorragend ist, konnte aber den Fehlercode auch nicht löschen denn es müsse bei BMW „eine Diagnosefunktion zum Zurücksetzen des Fehlerspeichers verwendet werden.“
Da ist also noch Potenzial nach oben.

Die App war schon immer gut, aber mit der Implementierung der Apple CarPlay-Anzeige im iDrive ist sie jetzt nahezu perfekt. Endlich kann ich mir jetzt im iDrive auch all die Daten anzeigen lassen, die mir BMW von Hause aus verwehrt. Dazu kommt noch ein erstklassiger Support - der auch für die zweite App dieses Entwicklers (BimmerCode) zutrifft.

Ich habe die App für wohlgemerkt 39,99 Euro (meine mit Abstand teuerste App bis jetzt in über 10 Jahren iOS) erworben in dem Glauben eine neue Batterie registrieren zu können. Das geht auch allerdings nur die selben Typs. Wenn ich eine Batterie mit einer anderen AH registrieren möchte (da die bisherige nicht mehr produziert wird) soll ich auf das andere Produkt Bimmer Code wechseln welches zusätzlich noch 49,99€ kostet. So eine dreiste Abzocke hab ich noch nicht erlebt daher auch meine erste Rezension bisher. Es ist zu erwarten, dass man entweder bei so einem stolzen Preis den gesamten Funktionsumfang erwirbt oder höchstens einen geringen Zusatz entrichtet. In der Art und Weise wie man hier vorgeführt wird ist es auf keinen Fall empfehlenswert und man kann sein Geld auch in ein reines Diagnosegerät stecken statt hier doppelt abkassiert zu werden!
