Started playing just a couple of weeks and as per usual, new “update” loaded and now I can’t log in. So sick of games like this.

As much as I love red pandas and birds I am so sick of the red panda in this game.. I’m sick of having to pop bubbles in order to get points and most of the time you can’t even pop them. I just want cute little birds so I can collect them, but this ruins the fun of collecting birds. .. I do love the other guy when you grow the plants, it’s like the ant event in the other flutter game and so much easier

Devs, I really hope you read this and take some of these critiques into consideration. This could be one of the BEST idle/collector/cozy mobile games on the market, if you just tweak a few things. I’ve played other Runaway games like Pond Life and Old Friends and they are amazing, yet Bird Kind is my favorite despite having all of these critical gaming flaws. I hope you can change this. 

First, the Melodia. The Melodia system is so messed up. My BEST birds that are fully maxed out do not produce NEARLY enough Melodia for me to progress at a decent enough pace. Either the birds need to produce more Melodia, and by more i mean almost DOUBLE the amount, or things need to cost less. With expanding, it would take me genuinely YEARS to unlock the entire forest and that’s assuming i actually play the events enough  to unlock every single bird AND feed all of them to max them out. The expanding system sucks, it’s way too expensive and i do NOT like paying 5 times to unlock an area. It should be 1 payment per 1 bush, that’s final. Additionally, I want to max out my birds so I can get them to make more Melodia. And yet, the feeding system sucks. You get the most gnats for your time if you pick the 30 second option, even with your flowers upgraded. That is so frustrating. I am not checking this game every 30 seconds to do that. The flowers need to be producing more gnats, and it should actually be worth it to use your precious Melodia on them. I saw another review critiquing this and they did all of the math to prove how impossible it was and the developers didn’t reply to it. Please take that into consideration. 

The events absolutely suck. They really don’t feel worth my time at all. The dream event is especially frustrating it is almost impossible to complete without paying! Now i don’t mind paying for games, Im happy to support the team but it doesn’t even feel worth it to spend money because all of the in app purchases feel not worth it at all! Learn from a really successful game, Hay Day. The events in that game are super easy to complete without spending money or an excruciating amount of time micromanaging everything in the game. They also offer a “Farm Pass” which just gives you even more prizes additionally, but you don’t NEED it to win good prizes.

Now this game would be so much better with more multiplayer features. I can’t even look at my friends forests just to look at their birds, why?? Again, take it from Hay Day, which has “Neighborhoods”. players

So I have a 10% legendary feather and I can’t use it and we need. A better spawn rate of legendary feathers so I can merge more and I need large feathers

I downloaded this game because I absolutely love birds and I thought it would be perfect. My first couple of weeks were wonderful and I fell in love with the adorable birds, interesting facts, and the relaxing nature of the gameplay. However, the dream bubble event came around and is not only stressful but much more unfair than the previous sprout event. It ruins the fun vibe the game had previously and it’s causing me to lose interest. I have read many other reviews complaining about this event, and the community consensus seems to be that players wish to go back to having sprout events only. The developers seem to notice and acknowledge these opinions but it has been months and it is still incredibly frustrating. I will add that I’ve learned that the dream bubble event can be skipped without much consequence, so I will be doing that in the future instead of uninstalling for now. I really don’t want to delete the app because I love every other aspect, but I will find it hard to justify continuing to play if I no longer enjoy the experience. It’s truly unfortunate because Bird Kind would have been an easy 5-star review for me if not for this one glaring issue.

### *---- "glitch after glitch"
The game is very beautiful and could be relaxing. However, as a longtime player, I’ve watched it really go downhill in the last year. There are glitches that affect gameplay or the events weekly, and some of those glitches literally brick the game so that you can’t get in or can’t play. It’s become a constant frustration, or in the case of the Tashi events, maddeningly unfair because you cannot get the color balloons you need to advance at all for days. At least with the seeds, you can have small progress every two hours. I’ve gone three days with zero progress even when paying gemberries to reset the goals. I really wish they would keep this app balanced in gameplay (fair) and on a more basic level just functional on a consistent basis.

I’ve played all of runaway games and this is probably my least favorite of its specific genre. It has similar issues to its sibling games like flutter where events are extremely difficult to complete with out spending money (to the point that it’s impossible for some players like me who to work and sleep) but I also feel like there were some things missing. The other characters don’t have their own pages in the book like some of the other titles do. It’s little but when it there it makes me so much more invested. Second I really feel like with birds we should take advantage of the fact that appear more intelligent and sociable, and have unique sounds and behaviors. I wish my birds did more than just fly around and perch like butterflies. They should interact with each other and the environment! How cool would it be if the games sound changes based on which birds are in forest with you. What if instead of random bird calls you actually got the spefic calls of the birds you own. What if birds could preen each other. What you could place decor the birds could play with. That all would take the game to the next level!

I’ve been playing Bird Kind for multiple years now. Love it, I’ve played it every day up until yesterday’s update when I can no longer access the game due to getting a message during login saying “Game cannot be played—something has gone wrong when trying to check age compliance to play the game”. I have not received a reply back from support, and I will be very upset if I miss the second bird in the event because of this. I have three days until that happens, but hopefully it will be fixed before then. Please advise, Runaway!
