Whether you're looking for a local guide, want to plan your daily birding routes and trips, or just want realtime updates on birds being seen, we've built tools to help you out! -Connect with Nearby Birders: Introduce yourself, link your eBird stats, and discover friends to follow and connect with. Also mark patches you're familiar with birding and regions you're interested in visiting. Our privacy settings allow control over who can see your details. -Convos and Chats: Enjoy familiar chat app functionality with a range of features, like support for location pins, photos and emoji reactions. We automatically detect and link eBird checklists and Macaulay Library references. Create your own private chat groups or engage with various public topics. -- Nearby Birder Chat: A geospatial chat room where messages are stored based on location and can be interacted with based on your proximity. Stay informed about recent birding conditions, sightings, and hotspot details, and connect with local birders wherever you are! No need to fret about how to join the local birding group and what app they might be using. -- Rare Bird and Hotspot Chats: Tapping on an RBA in your activity feed or directly from hotspots on maps will transport you to a view of the chat focused on a radius around that location. Find out if the bird is still being seen and discuss strategies for relocating it before making the trip! -- BirdChirp: We also include an off-grid chat and location sharing feature for those of you going into remote areas without cell coverage. Check our website for more info! -Robust Bird Alerts: Rarity notifications can be highly customized to your preferences. Never miss out on a nearby Slaty-backed Gull again! Post RBAs in BirdingApp to send out local or state-level rarities instantly and get feedback about who is chasing or seeing the bird. Set your interested radius, and optionally mute notifications for continuing birds or specific species. Through the Birding Arena section we also offer alerts for your target birds that may not be considered "rare". -Birding Arena: This is a place for friendly competition and solo challenges. Take on daily hotspot challenges and complete bird quizzes to earn points for spending on target bird alerts nearby or in other regions! Leaderboards keep track of rankings for daily birding in your region and total points earned on the app. -Hotspot Insights: From clear county lines to color-coded markers, our maps make it easy to find the best hotspot for your next stop. Photos and tips from birdinghotspots.org are integrated, and we've added both ratings and reviews so you can quickly check the quality or leave your assessment for others. -Routes, Itineraries, and Trips: Create and share birding routes, with the app displaying rarities from eBird near your chosen route! Utilize the itineraries feature to design routes and schedule multiple trips, while keeping track of all your planned adventures on a convenient calendar. Don't forget to invite your friends to join you! -Trip Chats: Once you book a birding trip, our app automatically adds you to a dedicated trip chat. This feature is perfect for discussing trip details, staying connected with fellow birders, and sharing corrections on your eBird lists afterward. -User Supported, Ad-free: We don't like ads either, so please consider supporting our mission and help cover the costs of the app by signing up for a quarterly or yearly subscription. Some extra perks include additional RBA preferences, viewing rarities anywhere on the map, getting notified about specific target birds and ABA-level rarities, more media uploads, and priority notifications. We are always working on new features, so let us know what you'd like to see! iOS Terms of Use: ## BirdingApp. Screenshots - [Screenshot 1](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/d5/47/8e/d5478ef0-b70c-4aee-a986-c6079317bfbd/Apple_iPhone_14_Plus_Screenshot_1.png/1284x2778.png) - [Screenshot 2](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/04/78/05/04780566-47bb-8163-e4f1-1009d8377e31/Apple_iPhone_14_Plus_Screenshot_2.png/1284x2778.png) - [Screenshot 3](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/f6/37/07/f6370773-9009-7557-bdda-433f89d2fe99/e0c1e497-ca57-44f7-9343-3b56a8c83977_Logo_birders.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 4](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/73/51/5f/73515f67-cd72-bf64-f668-f7c0a8491df7/Map_combined.jpg/1284x2778.png) - [Screenshot 5](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/01/41/d5/0141d51d-655f-6c67-dfdd-eb58681900ca/e213303e-d713-4872-95c5-10f036c70618_RBA_collage.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 6](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/cb/8e/6c/cb8e6ce8-7920-29b8-5d6f-b8e84697c670/cdf58843-d4ad-4fdf-bad8-5da7a9d943d0_5HS2Lw82qC8z_1242_2688.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 7](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/dd/5e/44/dd5e440d-d2d4-2d33-8c82-d68a50567e44/Apple_iPhone_14_Plus_Screenshot_1.png/1284x2778.png) - [Screenshot 8](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/34/86/2e/34862eb5-e240-0bdd-b8a1-fb431aaba2b3/e95cb0b6-9a61-46db-ac55-c4a3aee5cedd_Arena.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 9](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/9f/b0/78/9fb078a4-6c3d-ce09-0651-2f5070c4687f/4a039ec8-ea00-49e8-9942-21c21198140f_Hotpot_4.png/1242x2688.png) ## BirdingApp. Rating Breakdown in United States - 5 stars: 32 (94%) - 4 stars: 1 (3%) - 3 stars: 1 (3%) - 2 stars: 0 (0%) - 1 stars: 0 (0%) ## BirdingApp. Reviews in United States ### ***** "Great App in Progress" I have never been able to navigate the eBird app easily to find the specific information I needed. This app makes getting to hotspot information (I love the interface with the map. So much better how it populates with the hotspots quickly. Showing the rare bird locations at a glance) so much easier. I love the activity feed too! I hope more people join and start to fill in information and make this more social as it develops. Great app! -- MoWheels, 2024-10-04 ### ***-- "Great Concept - User Interface needs work." It’s a bit clunky under the hood, difficult to navigate at times, and frustrating to alter settings and customize desired areas and alerts. But it does okay. -- shfoendisjwbwuxcj, 2024-04-30 ### ***** "Great app" If you want to keep plugged into areas you bird this app gives you premium notifications and connects to ebird. Really good. As soon as someone drops a list of a rarity you can be notified without the delay. -- jketski, 2024-02-17 [View all BirdingApp. reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## BirdingApp. Available In - [United States](https://apptail.io/app/birdingapp-AYYn/united-states) - [Canada](https://apptail.io/app/birdingapp-AYYn/canada) - [United Kingdom](https://apptail.io/app/birdingapp-AYYn/united-kingdom) - [Ghana](https://apptail.io/app/birdingapp-AYYn/ghana) - [Namibia](https://apptail.io/app/birdingapp-AYYn/namibia) - [New Zealand](https://apptail.io/app/birdingapp-AYYn/new-zealand) - [Australia](https://apptail.io/app/birdingapp-AYYn/australia) - [South Africa](https://apptail.io/app/birdingapp-AYYn/south-africa) - [Botswana](https://apptail.io/app/birdingapp-AYYn/botswana) --- ## About AppTail [AppTail](https://apptail.io) is a mobile app intelligence platform providing app analytics, ASO (App Store Optimization) tools, keyword tracking, competitor analysis, revenue estimates, and review monitoring for iOS App Store apps.
