Description

This unique, easy-to-use app was developed to accompany the Veld Birds of Southern Africa, A Complete Photographic Guide, but can also be used on its own. This app can be used anywhere, even if you are offline.
It describes ALL the bird species that have been recorded in Southern Africa to date, a total of 991 species. Packed with the latest information on all these birds, it focuses on identification, confusion with other closely related species, behavior, and habitat preferences.
Displaying close to 4000 colour photographs, it contains the most impressive collection of beautiful photographs of male, female, juvenile, breeding & non-breeding, subspecies, and other colour variations.
By scanning the bird in the book, or searching for it in the Alphabetic Index will unlock the calls of the bird.
The brand-new colour-coded distribution maps are based on the latest information and show the status and abundance of each species.
The bird species are divided into 10 colour-coded groups, according to their external characteristics and behavior. This, together with the alphabetic and Quick Index, will help the user to find and identify the correct bird effortlessly.
