I’ve played this on and off for years on different platforms. The IAPs are reasonable, the gameplay is fun, the voxel sprites are adorable - a little slow to start but it gets moving soon enough. Definitely holds up well after all of these years.

I love bit city! It’s so pretty and fun. It’s a good time killer but it’s still a good game, not like some mobile games... I’ve been looking for a house or city game like this for so long! But city has almost no ads (unless you want rewards!) and no annoying pop ups. I literally don’t have any complaints! (I rated 4 stars instead of five because I haven’t finished the game yet, so in my opinion I can’t yet rate it 5 stars)

It’s a really great game if you want to build a city on a pastime. The ads are pretty much optional so they’re not all in your face. 

My only problem really is that you can’t customize your city the way you really want. Sure you can choose the type of building and lock in the ones you want, but waiting for specific buildings to be randomly built on the chosen lot can take forever (sometimes not even happening). Also you can’t rotate buildings nor the city itself. Done buildings look awkward the way they’re oriented (ex. Parking lot facing inward instead of towards the street).

I enjoyed Bit City at first, but after 20+ days I noticed my iPhone overheating. I thought it was just the weather — until I tested it on my Mac and saw the game using over 180% CPU. This is unacceptable for a simple idle game. It’s not optimized and can damage devices. Uninstalled.

This has become an old game and very much outdated by game standers of today. Game needs an update badly. 
Support for updating appears very limited. I think it can be a great game again if designers would put time in to it.

I love this game, one of the few idle games that has a satisfying long term progression. My only recommendation is that the free bonus reward scales somewhat with game progress. When I’m on city 18 and get a reward of 1 buck, it feels like a waste to even claim it

I like this game. I really really like this game. I really sincerely wish there was an option in the buildings catalog to automatically mark specific buildings as historic, it would be VERY helpful with the quests that are just having x number of z building. I know it's been six months since this game got an update and I may very well be screaming into the void but here's to hoping!!!!
