BitPay: Self Reviews

Rubbish app

Used Apple Pay to buy $500 USD worth of Bitcoin, was sent to a third party broker who, after several days, decided my payment was not valid even though it was deducted from my bank account and now l have to wait for a refund for 10 days. Absolute disgrace.

Bunch of crooks with no support

Gray the Grayte on

Australia

Recently I identified an issue where BitPay was overcharging for in game purchases by a factor of 20 times too much. They are multiplying a $1.73 USD in game Xsolla transaction to be $22.46 USD worth of BTC then also adding a $32.51 USD fee on top of that for a total of $54.77 USD total transaction cost. This is insane. Raised this multiple times with their support and they have still not responded to it and I can still reproduce this even 1.5 weeks later. These guys are either crooks or completely incompetent.

Issues

Voltie on

Australia

This app has potential to be great, but there are a few things holding it back, these include: 1. Being unable to customise the homepage and show the crypto prices that you want instead of random coins they want to show you 2. Being unable to remove certain coins from your wallet. You can only hide the coin or delete your whole wallet 3. The UI is not so fluent, and prompts come up every time, rather than remembering you’ve already read them 4. Some links being broken, including privacy policy link and buy for certain cryptos
