The content on this app is set up in a very accessible way. Navigating through is straightforward. The videos and the paired flowcharts make it so you can quickly understand how the movements are all connected together. I’m on the newer end to the BJJ world. This app has been very helpful to and aided in improving my jiu-jitsu knowledge, skills, and abilities. Also, they are always adding new moves to the app making the value of it ever increasing. Fully recommend it!
Let’s you see how everything fits together
Max’s app and flowcharts are an absolute game changer. Compressive and detailed quick videos demonstrating the moves. The magic is in the flowcharts - gives you a logical sequence to go through. This app should cost a lot more. It’s not just an encyclopedia of techniques. The flowcharts show how techniques fit together (especially with your opponents reactions) and gives the big picture. I think this is the biggest value. It tracks well with John Danaher and Gordon Ryan’s instructionals. The videos are high quality, annotated, succinct, and show the technique from multiple angles. There are also written summaries for quick reference. It’s an impressive comprehensive reference. Max updates the app every week. He is also very responsive - there is a direct chat in the app with him. Probably the best BJJ investment I have made. My only gripe is that I can’t download the app for when I don’t have cell service. Honestly, I’d prefer other people don’t know about this app - like a secrete weapon - it’s that good.
Great app- worth the price tag
There are a lot of instructional options for BJJ out there but I would put this one in the upper ranks. It is super organized, contains multiple mediums (video instruction, written notes, and visuals aids), and the developer consistently updates it (every Friday). The videos are not talk laden and detail heavy which some might consider a con but I consider a pro. If you want super in depth and detailed explanations, buy a Danaher or other BJJ athlete instructional. The true utility of this app is to see how all the pieces fit together which it certainly accomplishes and continues to do so. People might balk at the price tag (I did) but it’s about the same as other high priced instructionals or a couple discounted ones and this is continually updated. Or you can do what I did- wait til a special occasion and treat yourself.
Great product!
I really enjoyed having access to videos and flow charts. I always buy the products from the website but the application allows for quick references to techniques and speeds up the whole drilling planning process.
Incredible app
Was hesitant because of price but this app is the single most helpful study tool I’ve ever come across in jiu jitsu. Cannot recommend enough, it’s the price of a month’s membership at the gym but it has potential to level you up years in your ability.
Get Better At BJJ - Awesome Tool!
I have been a fan of BJJFlowCharts for a long time. Their flowcharts make it easy to get the most out of instructionals in the shortest time.
I was really excited when they released this app. It is filled with great techniques broken down and strung together in an intuitive way that makes learning them as easy as possible.
I have limited time to train, and this app is a great tool that helps me learn new techniques, fill in gaps in my game, and reinforce things I already know. I highly recommend it if you want to get better at Jiu Jitsu.
Really interesting, have a question
I love the design and flow of this app. Heavily considering purchasing — are the paid sections all no gi?
Edit: looking further into it, it seems really cool
I’m a dumb white belt who jumped the gun and read this app low because it was expensive. At least it seems expensive but when I consider it all you’re getting here it’s actually pretty cool. I just need to decide if I’m gonna buy it.
Best BJJ instructional for the money out there
I have been a long time fan of this developers BJJ Flowcharts for Gordon Ryan and John Danaher instructional’s. When I saw he was making his own instructional application I was supper excited. This app is truly excellent. From novices to advanced practitioners, this app caters to all skill levels, providing an exceptional learning platform like no other. Let me share with you the many reasons to consider this app for your own jiujitsu journey.
First and foremost, the app offers an extensive library of instructional videos covering a vast range of techniques and concepts. Whether you're a beginner looking for fundamental moves or an experienced practitioner seeking more advanced techniques, this app has you covered. The tutorials are presented in a clear and concise manner, with multiple viewing angles for each move, making it easy to follow along and grasp the intricacies of each move.
One standout feature of this instructional app is its commitment to continuous improvement and updates. The developer had consistently added additional content each weekly. This app was fantastic the day it was released. Now after more than a year of additional content added, it is by far the best value in BJJ instructionals.
Amazing Resource
I started doing Jiu Jitsu 15 years ago. I’ve been part of several schools and have been exposed to different teaching methodologies. Some methodologies work better than others in helping students retain knowledge; however, I think there is a universal challenge they all face, which is the lack of a Birds Eye point of view. Connecting the dots between Individual techniques or sequences comes only with time. The app does an incredible job helping you accelerate that process because you can see techniques from a Birds Eye point of view. Jiu-jitsu is similar to putting a puzzle together. In the real world, you see a picture, you are given the pieces, and then you put the puzzle together. However, in Jiu-jitsu, you are given one piece, maybe a few pieces at a time, but you are not shown the overall picture until years later, when the puzzle is almost done. The flow charts and videos are THE Picture!
