They do not have operating licence from TfL. HMRC must investigate their 50% commission to get right tax from them.

Why so expensive?

BEWARE!! On booking a driver, you receive a confirmed booking reference, but in fact this is only ‘subject to availability’. It is not stated anywhere on the booking confirmation the booking can be cancelled by Blacklane, 30 minutes before pick up time the dispatch team will advise they are cancelling the booking leaving you in an extremely bad position, especially to get to the airport on time! If you are looking for a reliable service, do not depend on Blacklane. I am a regular business customer but now deleting the app

Does not Work

Paid for a S class, but the driver arrived in a Electric Car. App said to look for a 7 Series with a plate number at the airport, but he was in a different make of car and plate number. We had to find him, no driver with message board in the airport as promised. Contacted Blacklane on app, by phone and email. No reply, no Instant Chat support like they promise. I have overpaid and the driver has saved himself about £70 in petrol costs. Nice little scam going.

I was double charged for a ride that took place over a week ago. Blacklane told me to speak to my bank, and my bank told me to speak to Blacklane. Blacklane were insistent that they had already refunded me, but my bank said that was not true. The customer support for this app is HORRIFIC. They have no phone number, and only a live chat that doesn’t work properly, and the staff always repeat the same useless information. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

The website and service are very good but the app is relentlessly crashing…apps are pretty basic so not a good look that they can’t figure that out and I would assume not appealing to newer customers.
