Description

Control your Videohub broadcast SDI routers from your iPad!
Videohub Control uses a familiar push button interface that's fast and easy to use. Simply tap a destination button to show the connected source, and then change sources by pushing any of the source buttons! If you want to lock a destination, then double tap! For more destination and source buttons, just swipe!
Installation is simple, and all you need to do is select Videohub in your iPad settings to enter the IP address for your Videohub router. Blackmagic Videohub Reviews

Not updated in many years

Amak12 on

This app is out of date by many years and not useable.

Only 8 Outputs Available :-(

JP Rips on

United States

Functionally this is a great app, but the bottom row where the Outputs are, only has 8 slots. You can swipe to get another 8, but the buttons are blank. Using this with a 40x40 Videohub is a bummer because you can only access 8 of the 40 outputs! It's pretty great functionality for the first 8 outputs. Easy navigation and settings. Being able to walk around on set with an iPad and route signal is fantastic. But you can really only use it for 20% of the Videohub's capability. If I could access all 40 outputs, I'd give this a 5 star, 100% rating, but math is forcing me to give it a rating more appropriate to what it delivers.

Doesnt work with 20x20

bradylippert on

If you have the 20x20 Videohub, this app will not work for you. I have had no luck with any of my 20x20 video hub routers and using this app

Does not work with iOS 12 or 13

ev.mc on

Come on, guys. It should not be up to the customer to develop a control app and keep it up to date. So far the videoHub is not proving to function as expected, especially when it comes to the controls. This app loads a bunch of blank tiles with no settings or setup options to get connected to a videoHub.

Update this embarrassing app

nbjoin on

United States

The fact that I can spend so much money on a current hardware only to have the iOS software be years behind is so embarrassing for black magic. Black magic even advertises this as a feature of the smart Videohub on their website, yet it doesn’t even work with the current hardware. Should have bought AJA! BMD you better respond to me and work towards a fix, or lose countless thousands of dollars in future sales to me.

Smart Videohub Not Fully Functional

I can only see the first 8 outputs in my 20x20. Lots of inputs and outouts are displayed that don’t seem to be relevant.

No Support - Revised

TheBigSquanch on

Update: Blackmagic updated the app to support the new iOS. We are now able to get all of our pads updated and still running smooth. -- -- -- -- App hasn't been updated since 2011. IOS 11 won't run 32-bit apps, and Blackmagic says they don't have plans to update. We use iPads all over our facility to interface our Videohub router. Now we won't be able to update the iPads moving forward to patch security vulnerabilities.

Still no support for 20x20

BCMPhoto on

United States

I was excited to see an update for iOS11, however the app still doesn’t fully support the 20x20 VideoHub rendering it useless for me. The app will communicate with my 20x20 but won’t allow me to access more than 8 of my 20 outputs. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Thankfully the MacOS app seems to to,work, but getting the iOS app working as intended would be a huge timesaver for me.

THANK YOU FOR UPDATING!!

The only thing I would recommend is a way to share or sync layout configurations

Ugly and unusable

tfe on

United States

Only shows the first 8 destinations. No way to set/change the router IP from within the app. Graphics haven’t been updated for retina screens. Those have only been out what, 5+ years? I was excited about the recent update but it appears to be a zero effort release and the app is still garbage.
