Blink Charging Reviews

Extra charges from nowhere

alexandru amza on

I have charged once and I have been charged over 11kwh even if my car has only 9kwh, from where the extra 2kw charge, nobody knows; When I send an email no reply, clearly this is a big fraud, as they charge you extra and pretend they don’t know anything Don’t even bother to download the app

Awful awful awful

RCLL93 on

One of the worst charging companies I. The country. Useless on every level. Awful app, awful service. Disgraceful. Avoid at all costs.

Nothing works

Beanycat99 on

Planned to use a charger in a nearby car park in Brighton - 7 bays unused, but not a single bay ‘available’ on the app. It also shows ‘available’ street plugs that no longer exist. Why councils let such clowns run a glowingly important infrastructure business is quite beyond me. Absolutely shocking.

Save yourself

Confusing app, confusing charge points and I’m an EV driver of 3 years so that’s going some. £60 pre authorisation is the highest I’ve come across. Slow to refund the charge difference which they will blame my bank which incorrect. App is slow and complicated choose a different provider. Not a regular review leaver but felt impelled to do so.

Terrible

Lughbrighton on

No option but to use them in Brighton and Hove. Charging stations frequently not working, not repaired for weeks and the app stops working all the time. You used to be able to call and log in that way when the app failed - they have now stopped this. So you are left stranded. Really dreadful service.

Horrible customer experience

samerpik on

United Kingdom

Absolutely appalling experience with this app while charging yesterday! It consistently overcharges (money doesn't get refunded back), and this is not due to any issue on my end—I’ve verified this on several accounts. The app itself is a nightmare: dreadfully slow, crashes constantly, and utterly fails at basic functions like displaying the invoice history. Bad UX overall in the app and near to charging station Trying to interact with the history tab is a joke—it just gives an eternal spinning wheel of nothingness. To make matters worse, the customer service is a disaster. The representative was clueless, and the call quality was atrocious, making a bad situation even worse. This app needs a serious overhaul, both in functionality and customer support. Extremely disappointed! Chrager ID - 1796-04

Very Expensive - Chargepoint issues

Just used blink for the first time and likely the last time. Half the charge points were unusable one arrival. Was charged near £20 for 30-40% charge other providers are this cost for full charge. Very disappointed.

The most unreliable service imaginable

leonardo marrone on

United Kingdom

I have never written an app review, which hopefully frames this somewhat. Blink is terrible. Not just bad but really incredibly awful. The chargers don't work. The app doesn't work. The cost is the highest in the UK. They have a monopoly in Brighton, which means the greenest city has no access to reliable EV charging. It's a massive disaster, for everyone involved. I can't imagine what kind of backhanders led to this still being acceptable.

Unclear / expensive pricing.

User interface is not good- unclear how much will be charged per kw. PlugShare suggests these posts are £0.35/kw but their app was suggesting a charge would cost £55!! Unplugged and went elsewhere.

Very poor

Tried to get a charge in The QPark off Stephens Green in Dublin. This app is utter garbage. Couldn’t connect to my apple account, couldn’t get it to connect to my credit card. Took a few minutes even to work out how to get to the charger I want with the ui from hell. Apps like this must be owned by BP through a shell company with the sole purpose of keeping us on fossil fuels. That’s the only thing that makes sense. I’m an it consultant and I’ve had ev’s for ten years. Wasted 10 minutes trying to get this to work and gave up in the end. I think that says it all.
