Developed by ambient pioneer Brian Eno and musician / software designer Peter Chilvers, Bloom explores uncharted territory in the realm of applications for the iPhone and iPod touch. Part instrument, part composition and part artwork, Bloom's innovative controls allow anyone to create elaborate patterns and unique melodies by simply tapping the screen. A generative music player takes over when Bloom is left idle, creating an infinite selection of compositions and their accompanying visualisations.

This magical app is a simple way to relax, go to sleep or get creative. I’ve had it for years and have never tired of it.
Highly recommended for insomnia and stress. Set the timer and drift off. It has an interactive mode or you can set it to self play.

I love this app, have used it for years, I still use it almost every day. The way I enjoy it is having my iPhone docked on a speaker next to my bed, set Bloom to listen & 60 min timer, then drift off to sleep before the timer runs out. Works every time. I never hear the end of it:)

I feel stupid but I have no idea how to use this app; I have a feeling I'm not experiencing its full potential. Not everyone has used a music synthesizer before; it would have been a good idea to add a help tool or at least explain the basic functions.

This is a lovely app and I love ambient music generators but they all seem to have a similar problem and that's the hum in the background. Whether it's supposed to be a synthesizer or some sort of white noise, I find as a person who has migraines the noise can be torture. Sometimes it's alright but a lot of the time when I'm stressed and try to use it to chill a bit, it has the complete opposite effect. Pzizz is better because it is constantly changing, so even if the noise is there it's not for long. Please give us some sort of option for the noise, I'd love to be able to use the app more. Lovely to look at the changing screen.

This app is a true gem (an opal to be exact) My kids gravitated to it like magnets. They now insist on going to sleep with opal generating on the bedside table between them. I love it too and can listen and fiddle for hours. I look forward to enrichments to the software, but is very cool indeed, just as it is.
