Developed by ambient pioneer Brian Eno and musician / software designer Peter Chilvers, Bloom explores uncharted territory in the realm of applications for the iPhone and iPod touch. Part instrument, part composition and part artwork, Bloom's innovative controls allow anyone to create elaborate patterns and unique melodies by simply tapping the screen. A generative music player takes over when Bloom is left idle, creating an infinite selection of compositions and their accompanying visualisations.

I use this for background ambience, focus enhancing, creative work, relaxation and travelling. This is somewhat brighter and lighter than Trope. But together they provide wonderful atmospheres that go on forever.

Have to say I was very disappointed that I couldn’t use the iPhone version of bloom on my iPad. (You can with Trope)

I find it insulting that this app is asking for money for what it provides. This is a hackathon level app that just has Brian Eno's name on it. It doesn't even need the 2D plane it provides to work, since the X-axis has no effect whatsoever in what you're playing. 

So many better apps out there, a lot of them even free. Don't waste your money on this

Compared to many other paid for music apps, this has limited appeal. Touch the screen and a bell tone sounds. It's on a delay loop so it sounds again after a while. Meantime you press somewhere else and you get another bong. And on it goes binging and bonging until you've heard enough. Which was about a minute in my case. All very trippy I'm sure. I'm probably not smoking enough.

Bought this app after seeing it on the Brian Eno documentary on the BBC. It's hypnotic and engaging. So much so that it was immediately taken from my hands b my 6 year old son. He now asks for my phone to experiment with sound and vision. A fantastic thing for all generations.

Bloom was my first App ever and it still fills me with joy and wonder. 
With regards to AirPlay support, why not just AirPlay your device via the multitasking bar? 
I'd love to see a recording facility in Bloom's next update. But for those with Macs, you can use Quicktime's recording facility with your iPhone to capture it i guess in Yosemite!
