Developed by ambient pioneer Brian Eno and musician / software designer Peter Chilvers, Bloom explores uncharted territory in the realm of applications for the iPhone and iPod touch. It was a 5-star app, but it's stopped working in the background.

Great app for drifting away to..,

Great app for drifting away to. Can self generate ambient loops but I love using the create section and drifting off.

Sound was lacking

Brian eno is great. But I found the sounds a bit imbalanced and harsh. I hope it was just my phone

Blooming Marvellous

Used this on film work. Absolutely recommend this for all forms of musical and spiritual creation. Thoughtful, fulfilling realisation and sometimes poignant. Thank you Brian for your imaginings.

Relaxing and fun

I like this app, it's lots of fun while on the move ! calming and simple

Beautiful

I use this for background ambience, focus enhancing, creative work, relaxation and travelling. This is somewhat brighter and lighter than Trope. But together they provide wonderful atmospheres that go on forever. Have to say I was very disappointed that I couldn’t use the iPhone version of bloom on my iPad. (You can with Trope)

Finally updated

For some reason the App would update and was giving me errors about iOS 11 incompatible but a hard reset has now updated and it no longer complains

Worthless

I find it insulting that this app is asking for money for what it provides. This is a hackathon level app that just has Brian Eno's name on it. It doesn't even need the 2D plane it provides to work, since the X-axis has no effect whatsoever in what you're playing. So many better apps out there, a lot of them even free. Don't waste your money on this

Calming

Amazing app. Really helps me get to sleep and sort of detach from everything else. Peaceful sounds and the playfulness has a very calming affect.
