Great app for BG lover

wlouiz on

Has been using the app for over an year and I am happily satisfied with the function and improved features. Not only it record all the games with partner, it helps to organise my game library much better than BGG app itself. Kudos to the team! The only feature I find missing is to sort the game base on complexity/ weight. It helps to filter game much easier.

Just the app I needed

Drnutty on

Such a fantastic app, perfect for logging your board gaming history and stats.

Really really great but has potential to be so much better!

I think this is a great app and is something I’ve been looking for, for a long time! It really adds to the banter in our household when we can look and see that someone has the ‘highest losing score’. I’d like to see added, would be the ability to keep track of a game as its being played, round by round, this way you could see a line graph of how each game progresses and the ups and downs of each player. using the example of scrabble, sometimes a win on paper doesn’t tell the full story, we’re often bantering about how one player has been in the lead all game only to be beaten in the last round… a round by round line graph demonstrating this would definitely be something I would find interesting! I think this addition could be implemented into all board games and make it all that little bit better! Another addition I would like to see is specific more popular board games having unique scoring systems due to the way they are played… for example, it is difficult to accurately record the results for a game of monopoly because the final monetary value of the winner never tells the full story and all the losers will always have £0 at the end. I’m yet to come up with a system to fully get record the result. However overall the app is fantastic and the developers seem really eager to keep updating it which is always nice to see! Keep up the great work.

Amazing app

I have been using for about 3 years now- awesome app which I use every week, and the in app purchases are very reasonably priced and very useful

Some bugs

Montage Monster on

Great app but at the moment Smash Up is bugged on my app so that it shows 25 plays but they don’t appear in the play logs or on the game stats page

Maximum Boardgamegeekery!

SJMinem on

Wow, this app is a stats nerd’s dream. If you have a BoardGameGeek profile and use it to track your board game collection and play sessions, this app is a must. It syncs with BGG and presents those stats in a much more pleasing way while also adding another layer of functionality on top, such as the ability to add photos to a particular play session. The developers are pretty active as it gets updated very regularly. Love it!

Fan-stat-ic app

Oliver Kinne on

I’m a fan of statistics, graphs, charts and everything like that. Being able to record my plays and see how often I played game and how long for, who won most often, what the top score was, how many people I most play with, etc etc etc is just fantastic. Thank you so much for making this app.

Top Tier Board Game Tracker

If you are interested in keeping track of your board game plays this app is truly fantastic! I play regularly with an international gaming group (little less now with covid times) and it has been perfect. It lets me: record all of my plays; who played; where we played; how long the game ran for; whose game we played with; which version was used; details on the setup of the game; any expansions and variants used; plus numerous other things I am forgetting. The eye for detail in this app is amazing, and they are always updating it to add new features/squash bugs. There is synchronisation with Board Game Geek (BGG) and others (which I don’t use). Being able to sync my entire collection for quick entry has proven a godsend when playing upwards of 10 different games at a meetup, especially when you don’t want to be “that guy” holding everything up. I haven’t even mentioned the analytics that come with this thing! Unfortunately they are an additional cost, but they are one time only and have been very useful for me. Wouldn’t recommend them immediately as they only become useful after you have put some plays in; like anything with stats you need a suitable sample size to derive much use from. Saying that though, I have great fun looking at specific match ups with people; like figuring out which of my friends are just low-key awesome at games... The only things that may be a deal breaker for some is the cloud sync feature is an annual subscription of 99p (I think lowest subscription cost in whatever currency you use), which is a must if you have more than one iOS device. I consider this a steal based on the amount of work going into this application. I cannot recommend this app highly enough to any enthusiastic, stat loving, board gamer!

New Update

Charl1eWonka on

Really disappointed with the new role choosing feature. Before you could just search all the types you’d had before by typing in but now you have to scroll down a huge list. The option is fine for a game that has few rolls but I log a game where the role can be anyone of 100s of characters with many different line ups. I usually put this under role but it’s made it very difficult now to know if it is a role I’ve used before as the search function of previous saved roles is no longer there. Otherwise great app. I’d appreciate if that function could be put back in.

Love it! A few suggestions...

DaveSumm on

I use this all the time and have done for over a year now, it’s so cool to be able to see how your habits evolve. Two features I’d love to see: it’d be good if you could retroactively combine game scores. For example, we’ve been playing a lot of Railroad Ink recently and I’m regretting adding both blue and red versions, it’s not easy to see how often we play as it’s broken into two games. It’d be cool if you could fold those games together and combine the stats. Same thing with the Unlock series, we’ve added the individual boxes when if I’d thought ahead, it would have been better to log them all as one game. Also, I’d love to see better expansion integration. You can log that you used one, but the ability to view your scores depending on which expansion you used would be awesome. This seems fairly obvious so no doubt this is either being worked on, or there’s a reason it won’t work.
