BodBot AI Personal Trainer Reviews

Really wanted to love this

bbyjules on

I was looking for something a bit more sophisticated to help me plan my workouts, but I think I got fooled by all the smoke and mirrors of how this app is layed out in the free version that I figured the subscription would be worth the price. Sadly that was not the case. Everything that became “unlocked” after I paid didn’t really improve my experience at all. Wish I could get my money back. /:

Been using 10+ years and I love it!

I’ve been using this app since at least 2013. I love that it’s always remained consistent with the basics- easy to follow workout routines, TAILORED workouts, adaptation during workouts and video/written description! Of course, over time it’s changed for the better (new workouts, improved videos, etc.) but overall it’s still easy to use and extremely beginner friendly. I like that it connects with Apple Health, making it easy to integrate with other fitness/nutrition apps. I primarily use it for the fitness aspect but have dabbled with the nutrient part before. In early years, I found the nutrition aspect confusing/difficult (in-app) so I cannot speak on that part. But honestly the ease of having a personalized trainer in my pocket is worth the world to me.

Automatically signed me up for 80 DOLLAR ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE

I was NOT aware that the app was doing this. When it prompted about the subscription, I though that I skipped it. Entirely unaware that I had bought a subscription for the app that I literally hadn't even gotten the chance to use yet, I didn't know until all of a sudden I got a notification from my bank app about an 80 DOLLAR Apple purchase. Really unclear and really shady. Also entirely nonrefundable.

Not good

Tried for 6 weeks( I actually paid the subscription) seems to go all over the place with the exercises, same exercises one day after other, I couldn’t get used to. I wish I could get my money back

Waste of money and time

Cbeckx on

The app has a decent interface but everything else is lacking. Workouts are pretty lame and do not tie in well together on a daily suggested basis. Warm up workouts are a waste of time and totally unrelated with the days workouts. I don’t suggest this app one bit. Used for about a month and finally got around to giving a review and deleting the app. Would take a refund if it was offered. This was not helpful at all.

App glitches

Helstah on

First time using it - it skipped an exercise that was up next and reported it as 4 completed sets. I couldn’t even. Complete a single set IRL. I don’t see a way to go back and correct I love the idea of just doing what the app tells me to do tho. I hope this works out.

Pay wall after pay wall.

Used to be a good app till someone got greedy.

Great app, but needs machine exercises added

MaikeruX on

I’m happy with this app, and I’ve been using it for years. I’d highly recommend it! If I have a gripe, I’ve been waiting for them to add more machine exercises you’d find at a gym, like oblique rotation, and they still haven’t done it yet.

What you put in, is what you get out!!!

This app is really something! I’ve used it on and off for years and recently really started to press in and customize it as much as possible. If you are serious about your fitness goals or even a beginner this is a great app that is affordable( free for great limited options and $60 annually for the full package!!! If you follow the workouts and are completely honest in your responses this app will work out OUT!!

I love it, worth every penny

The amount of tailoring available - what your goals are, your schedule, your levels of comfort and any limitations you may have… amazing. A personal trainer in my pocket who is always consistent & encouraging even when I’m not! lol.
