Bomb Cyclone

In the last year or so something on the back end must have changed, because none of the GB apps I used previously are functioning properly anymore. Many older videos are inaccessible and the newer ones freeze all the time or just show up as broken links. The app really likes to crash when switching to a new video while casting to a tv as well. I have used this app for years as a way to access premium videos, but alas, I find myself watching them on YouTube instead more often than not these days. I can’t blame the developer, as this has been a labor of love and they haven’t charged a cent for their work, and with all of the changes at GB over the last couple of years there were bound to be some issues.

This is the best (only?) Giant Bomb video player on iOS. I’m very appreciative of the work that goes in to this free volunteer-made app.

Bomb Cyclone's been a consistently fantastic way to enjoy GB's content over the years, and I use it way more than the site even. Cannot recommend it enough.

So the app works great for the most part, but for some reason newer episodes of particularly Albummer seem to not want to load properly? It will either stutter constantly or time out, and will refuse to download and I can’t figure out why. Hopefully this is something on the dev’s radar.

I love this app but out of nowhere recently the old UPF videos won’t play anymore! I checked the FAQ and made sure they worked on my phone browser. FAQ says to reach out but I didn’t see contact info so hopefully the developer sees this review. Again, I love the app and it’s usually great, but this problem just cropped up out of nowhere and I’m really hoping there’s something that can be done so old UPFs will play again

Downloaded the app originally so I could cast easily to my tv’s using Chromecast. Clean simple design is easy to navigate and it works flawlessly. It even remembers all your account information like where you left off in a video when you come back to watch more. I was slightly skeptical of a third party app for Giant Bomb, but it’s been soooo nice.

Great app and use it all the time.

Can’t believe this is not straight from giant bomb them selves. It’s so amazingly useful and vibes really well with the iPad. Are use something different for my android phone but this is superior. Thank you!
