It doesn’t allow you to buy a ticket without a Navigo pass, which is a PAIN to get (you need a photo with you to make one for example!)… probably easier to just spend 30 mins in a long queue to get paper tickets from a ticket machine, like in the 90s…

I have installed this app to try and load t+ tickets on to my physical Navigo card. I can read my card to see the remaining t+ tickets (purchased with the Navigo card at a machine). However, when I try to purchase additional t+ tickets via Apple Pay in the app, the Apple Pay transaction goes through, but the RATP app tells me it failed, and I don’t see the screen to load my purchase on to the Navigo card. When I check my bank account, I see the transaction has been approved. I tried two different cards, same problem, so the problem is the RATP app and/or Navigo. I also tried the SNCF app, which has the same functionality, and same issue - transaction appears on my bank account, but no t+ ticket to load on to my Navigo card. As other have said, compared to London, this is very poor, and certainly will cause a lot of frustration during the Olympics. (UK traveller with a UK bank account enabled for overseas transactions)

Few months before the Olympics they don’t let you to buy any tickets through the app. Splendid! Guess what you can’t buy it in the bus either unless you have a cash. The comparison with what TfL does in London reflects poorly on this app:

- line status: why displaying all lines looking the same? Users are only interested in  
disruptions. Showing a line running fine the same way as a disrupted line is useless information and misses the point 

- loading tickets on a physical card is cumbersome and feels outdated tech 

- the map is static, impossible to to tap on a station and get a quick summary on next trains, amenities, disruptions (inc. escalators and elevators). The line diagrams provide minor added value 

- all pages are very busy, especially when using the bold Parisine font

- having 2 maps is confusing - the regional idfm reads better on mobile

- many display issues (overlay of text/buttons)

Use Citymapper instead - shame navigo can’t be topped up using an alternative app

This was the app recommended at the Gare du Nord tourist information centre and it was brilliant. Put in the destination where you want to go and you will find walking and metro directions. The app also tells you which direction the train is heading, where the best exit from the train and how long it will take you to get to where you are going.
