More concerned with their rebrand than UI
BOTM, you've been so focused on changing the logo just a smidge and adjusting the colors a hair, and making the bookmark larger that you stopped thinking about UI and removed the section of the app that shows a user *the books they’ve purchased from you.*

It’s now harder to review a book, mark book read, or figure out what books you already own so you can buy more. Silly silly. Kinda useless app now.

UPDATE in response to the developer response: Your statement is only half true, and doesn’t solve the issue.
The issue is that you removed the auto populated bookshelf of user purchases that made it easy to review, mark and access the books you own. Yes, there’s a section for “books you haven’t read” but it doesn’t auto populate. It requires a user to add every single book they’ve purchased from BOTM manually one by one.
That’s not the same functionality.
My complaint about the app still stands.
PS: The email address you suggest I reach out to about this bounced. So add that to the list of fixes.

I got the 5 dollar book deal to see what it was about little did i know i was signing myself up for over 20 dollars for a truly terrible list of books to choose from when i went to cancel my membership i was told i couldn’t cancel it until it was charged for another book. Total scam DO NOT BUY
Don’t waste your time
This company does not care about its members. Waste of money and poorly curated selections. Customer service took nearly two weeks to respond to me.
FRAUD! THEY ROB PEOPLE ON MONEY!
I wish I could put zero! So they initially attracted me with a $10 book. I thought it was a good idea until they imposed the conditions on my account that I NEVER chose manually that I can’t refuse from. They do not let me to cancel the membership and not pay for the membership I never agreed on. It literally says that I can’t change anything until June 25th WHEN THEY GONNA TAKE MY MONEY!! ILLEGALLY! They apparently put these conditions in an agreement letter or smth. This is a FRAUD!! DO NOT GET THIS APP!!! In the end this book will cost you more than on Amazon!
Worth the price
This is the only book subscription I’ve tried but if you buy physical copies, it’s definitely worth the money. It’s the same price or lower than physical hardcover books and it lets you try different authors. I’ve just made my 3rd months selection but I’m liking it a lot. The app seems super easy to navigate for an older millennial.

I give it a 3 ⭐️ just because I think the books are way to large and I don’t like the BOTM logo on every books kinda throws it off but over all affordable for hard cover books wish the list was better tho to pick a book
Just… wow
Cannot recommend enough!!! I joined a little under a year ago, and can I just say wow. Even month’s picks have been amazing and I’ve found some past books of theirs I fell in love with. I used to only gravitate towards Romance, but now I read Thriller, Mystery, Historical Fiction, Short Stories, Fantasy, and more!! This subscription has really allowed me to expand my reading palate and discover amazing books and authors I may have overlooked. Most books are very new releases, so you are getting top of the line before they hit the shelves. I was worried when I joined it would all be old, irrelevant books and boy was I wrong. Their app so interactive with their polls, tik tok videos, and the two podcasts they host; I literally check it every other day just to see what’s up there. It is seriously more than any other subscription I’ve had. Their customer service is TOP tier- any small question or concern and they are quick and very kind to get it resolved- they truly embody customer first attitude. I highly recommend and tell it to everyone I talk to.

All We Were Promised
I chose "All We Were Promised" as a book for a book club with my sisters. I hadn’t read it yet, so I took a leap of faith and have been rewarded with a captivating masterpiece that seamlessly weaves together American history and characters that feel real. The exploration of pre-Civil War slavery is both poignant and enlightening, offering valuable insights into a tumultuous and cruel time in American history, reminding us of the unfathomable depths of human cruelty and the enduring resilience of those who endured its merciless grip. The love the characters' have for each other shines through, making their journeys all the more resonant. I found myself utterly engrossed in every page, and my desire for a sequel speaks volumes to the impact this novel had on me. Please Ms. Lattimore, I want more.
Audiobooks on app drain battery
The app works well for everything except the audiobooks. My phone looses battery quickly on this app when I listen to an audiobook and it also heats up. Other audiobook apps don’t do this. I hope this can be fixed.
