Rulesets

With over a dozen configuration options like score limit, nil bidding & more, you’ve just found your second partner. Hope there’s room at the table! Going to play somewhere else? Save and load anyone’s house rules with just a tap. Are we missing a rule? Contact us with feedback any time.

Scoring

Don’t risk miscalculation in front of other players. We’ve seen what can happen when auntie forgets how to carry her ones. Based on your selected rules, Bookbag will automatically calculate the score for you after both teams have placed their books. 2 plus 2 is 4, minus 1 that's 3, quick maths.

History

Keep track of games in progress as well as finished games on the history page. After a game is finished, get a generated game summary to share with everyone involved. Also tell Tiffany she lost by 50 points last year on March 3rd. She forgot.

TV

You know Granny can’t see what you’re doing on that cellular phone. Give everyone involved a little more confidence by showing the scoreboard on the TV with Chromecast. A phone is for making calls… and scoring books.

The app works well as long as you make sure your settings match however, there needs to be an update where you can change a setting so you don’t take bags if you go nil. If it’s a setting I’m missing please help me find it.

I love this app. No more searching around for paper and pencil (with an eraser!). You can forget about having to recalculate the numbers and argue about the rules. It’s all here for you in this app. Decide on the rule set you want to use and forget about it! As an added bonus, the author is very responsive and genuinely helpful.

I’m an avid spades player. I keep gold and silver cards on deck at all times just in case someone wants to play, but depending on the atmosphere we may not have a pen an paper so this app comes in handy. Not to mention you can keep track of the game including what each player said they had. I love this app. Just happy I didn’t have to develop it

Best Spades score keeping app out there. Just wish you could change the 10 for 200 rule to where it didn’t have to be exactly 10 books to get the 200 points. Other than that, better than paper

I used this app and it’s actually good. Wish the developers would add the option to go blind if the losing team was -50 behind. Also automatic save the score if you change screens. Overall pretty awesome app.
