Poor Service With A (Series of) Disingenuous Email(s).
Ok, the app is unnecessary to start with, there’s literally no reason I need to download this to confirm or view my booking, just give me a link to a webpage and stop wasting my time and device memory. The app is bs to navigate, unresponsive at best, and thinks it’s better than it is, much like booking.com’s service in general. The customer service of booking.com is absolutely appalling and lacking in any degree of humanity - if you have an issue with your accommodation and reception is closed do NOT bother calling these clowns and their 24 hour service, you won’t get a solution, just really, really angry at a customer service representative (and probably the service in general due to their lack of any kind of empathy or compassion in general - note to booking.com: telling your customer service team to repeatedly tell the unhappy customer they “will surely help you” while they’re doing, by definition, nothing of the kind is not a good script, especially when they LITERALLY HANG UP ON YOU THE SECOND YOU’VE CONFIRMED YOUR IDENTITY TO A HUMAN AFTER BEING ON HOLD WHEN YOU CALL TO FOLLOW UP THE NEXT DAY.) Sending unnecessary emails acting like there was any degree of intervention on booking.com’s part and pretending to be the hero when the issue had been resolved through HUMANS SPEAKING IN PERSON, also not great, highly disingenuous, booking.com took absolutely no action about resolving anything, and they’re maintaining that trend by not furthering me prompt advice of my refund - WHICH THEY ARE HOLDING IN ESCROW (yes, it’s a booking.com problem, not an accommodation provider problem!) - so they have pretty obviously have absolutely no problem making something up to make themselves feel good and look nice on an email chain, but can’t actually provide useful relevant information. Save time, frustration, and energy, DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP, DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE - just google somewhere and talk to a human. 0/10 - NEVER again.
