Booklover is a highly responsive, robust eBook reader with a rich user interface. It works especially well with PDFs, manga, and scanned books.
The metadata-driven library management makes it easy to find and enjoy a large number of books in PDF, ZIP/CBZ, RAR/CBR formats.
Seamlessly integrated with iCloud Drive, books in the iCloud Drive/Booklover folder automatically appear in the app's library and can be downloaded on-demand.
In the library, you can organize your books by genres, arrange them in order using various bibliographic information such as title, author, publisher, and more.
With the search field and the powerful Library Navigator, you can quickly locate a book from among thousands in your library.
Customize your reading experience with various settings for each book, including page layout, transition axis and style, cropping, filters, progress direction, background, and more.
Booklover automatically extracts metadata from file names or PDFs and also allows in-app manual edits as needed.

It’s good. It doesn’t crash.

Agree with other review - This is the best comic reader on iOS

I’ve tried all the most popular apps that come up when you search for ‘comic reader’ in the App Store, or for ‘best comic reader app’ on the web, and to me this is by far the best. I don’t know why it isn’t more widely recommended. Some others were fairly decent, but they all lacked at least one feature I wanted, such as the ability to change which page was displayed as the cover, or the ability to sync with an iCloud folder (reliably, without resetting all my reading progress, comic organisation etc!). But this app does all that and more. The features for extracting metadata from filenames are not something I thought I needed, but they are great. Now all I need to do is make sure I give my comics the right filename and the app does the rest! If I was being picky, the ability to filter comics that have no tag assigned to them would be useful. Some people might also miss the ability to put comics into folders, but I’m ok with having to use tags to organise them instead. Finally, when I sort comics by certain metadata (e.g. year, or publisher), it would be useful if the visible comic info also changed to show this instead of just showing title and author. These are just idealistic ‘nice to have’ things though, as overall the developers have done a great job with this app, and if it continues to work as it currently does I will be a very long time user. Thanks!

Best comic reader on iOS

I accidentally came across with this app when searching for a replacement for ComicGlass. The author put an impressive amount of effort to details. You should definitely try it yourself. I had been using ComicGlass for several years but its UI was a bit outdated now. I tried several top rated comic readers including Chunky. But they either lacked right to left reading mode or has minor UI defections like misalignments.

Great for comics and PDF books

Really nice app for reading, lets you set reading options like cropping and background colour per book. Good shelf interface too. Overall, quality software!

The best manga reader ever

The best manga/comic reader I have tried. UI is concise and the interaction is so natural. Gem.
