Worst app for faculty

Moirasha on

I really hate that you cannot easily update your library online with your App Library, making the app absolutely useless for faculty.

Book Not Downloaded

RidiculousNickname77777 on

I purchased an electronic copy of a text book to use throughout the semester. After redeeming the code to download the book, only the cover appeared on this app. A couple of days later, there was an update available which resulted in no change. The book cover (page 1 of 1) is the only thing available.

Terrible audio

P54376 on

The audio is an AI voice, which is terrible. It doesn’t catch every word. It spells out some words it skips over things. It reads too fast. It doesn’t pronounce things right it is horrible.. I feel like I was duped. I only purchased the book so that I could listen to it to help me focus. let me say again. It is horrible, horrible!!!!!!! Not using it, I should be able to get my money back

Please fix ipad view

Humble Z on

For both the ipad mini 6 and ipad air 5th gen the reading Is a subpar experience because they buffer the page to (this is speculation) adjust for the rounded corners of the display. This makes the text exceedingly small relative to the display and I cannot find anyway to fix this. Literal 3/4 additional vertical margin on an ipad mini, it feels terrible on the eyes. The zoom function does not retain center from page to page so this does not work. It just seriously makes reading a worse experience in a reader that I expect better from. Especially since it is so commonly used for textbooks and academic media.

Good but major aspect missing

Njiuy on

Overall the app works well, the only complaints I have is limited selection. If I want to add something to a notecard in quizlet or something I am not able to select more than a few sentences at a time. Secondly, the major issue I have, the voices. The voices. Are. Terrible. Like their genuinely funny at times but with the advancements in AI, there is truly no reason they shouldn’t be able to use something that sounds more human and is easier to listen to. Would be really cool to see improvement on that

Easy reading

Horrorgirl on

I love this app! Makes it so easy to access all of your books for school in one place and I love the features.

I will give this 5 stars once you can write in the book easier

agjones1 on

Great app, kind of hard to download books, I always have to use a desktop computer so that is kind of annoying. I also can’t wait for writing in the books to leave the beta, I mean common, it’s 2024 and the technology has been here for a while…

Doesn’t synch well

Mosses537 on

It doesn’t update an added book to the bookshelf.

Search function

Gabbynic on

The search function in this app does not work. Whenever I try to search for a term or person in a book I am not taken to the correct page and section. This makes it very hard to find information quickly

New Update…

Vincent .C. on

This app was incredibly useful—minus the randomly resetting my progress on a page when I tapped the left end of the screen—until the most recent big update. Why do I now have to scroll all the way down to get to the next chapter? Am I meant to just guess which page that chapter begins on? Extremely frustrating and disappointing, this app was nearly perfect until this unnecessary change. Please return it to how it was, it seriously makes no sense to me that I have to scroll to the bottom of a chapter (and lose where I was in that chapter) to get to the next one. Often the previous/next chapter has a list or definitions which I need to constantly switch between chapters to compare with, now I spend ten times as long doing the exact thing. The new changes have made the app inefficient, less helpful, frustrating, and confusing—because I seriously have no clue why it was released in the first place. Thank you for the otherwise/previously amazing app.
