## BookWalker Reviews in United States

### *---- "Give us the old app back"
This thing is basically impossible to read anything on, so why should we buy anything that uses it
-- WuseMajor, 2026-04-25

### *---- "Why a username and I can’t change it?"
I go into settings, nothing. I try to link my account to other accounts like google, discord, or apple, can’t do that. What I can do? READ EACH INDIVIDUAL LICENSE! Notifications don’t work, email notifications don’t work, but I get stonewalled by the ads the moment I open the app. I close it and it comes back up. The Webtoons section lacks substance, and the browse is pretty much pointless at times.
On the most personal of personal notes, please I just want the bookshelf design back so I can add the bonus illustrations again. P.S. add grid layout to UI scrolling is too cluttered.
From, USR_2EPKRJWMT1J0
why did you do this to me? I want my name back.
-- DesertWolf84, 2026-04-22

### ***-- "Bring back Bookmarks, Bookshelves, Offline mode, and Highlighting/Stickynotes"
Please I need everything back, I would especially use them to return to the last spot I had read and the bookshelf to organize my manga and novels without it it’s difficult to progress without having to read everything from the start. I also liked the offline since I work and don’t have wifi on my tablet so I really wish for that to return more than anything!
-- JudaiFan, 2026-04-21

### *---- "Bulk buy doesn’t work"
Don’t use the bulk buy feature! It took nearly 5000 coins and then didn’t update my library. Literally just has the option to buy even though it took my money and shows it in my transaction history. This kind of stuff is simple to QA. Mind boggling that they’d release it with such a bug.
-- johop77, 2026-04-21

### *---- "Hostile Design"
Who’s idea was it to have a bunch of pop-ups come in from the bottom of the screen, taking up most of the interface, with a second’s delay between dismissing one and the next one appearing? Because I think they deserve to be given a very practical demonstration of the term“defenestration.”

This app demonstrates contempt for its user. It does not exist to provide you a useful service, but to badger you until you relent and fork over a couple more dollars. The user experience is measurably worse, but I’m sure the “metrics” are just peachy.
-- Arvin Ignaci, 2026-04-21

### *---- "Major step backwards"
Pretty much everything about the new rebrand version of the app and website is much worse than the original. Unintuitive search features for the store no longer let you display by series instead of by individual book. The currency system was changed so you can no longer just buy a book, you have to buy essentially a mobile game slop micro transaction currency that will never be the exact amount for whatever you’re trying to buy. It removed the bookshelf feature so you can’t organize your purchases (or even download them). Truly incomprehensible why they would do this.
-- Incompetent Physicist, 2026-04-20

### *---- "Please go back!"
Terrible! Please go back to the old app. It was so much better.
-- Kyleliterally, 2026-04-20

### *---- "Just let us use the old version"
You know it’s bad when you get spammed with ads and offers while just trying to sign in. The previous app had a much more elegant form of integration with the store in the app: one tab for the store and that’s it, and you can search from there. I do not wish my my Library to be cordoned off to a small section of the app so the store takes the main stage.

The new “Library” is featureless! No sorting, no Bookshelves, no charm. Even the new logo looks minimalist and lifeless. You’re telling me I have to use search filters to find my audiobooks?

Fire the developers who made this version, fire the people who made the new storefront, and just let us use the old one. The other version was not broken and did NOT need fixing. I wanted an app to read my downloaded books, an E-Reader not a storefront.
-- GreetedSaucer93, 2026-04-20

### *---- "Downgrade from the original app"
The migration was easy, but anyone who loved the original app will be disappointed. Sorting your purchases is next to impossible if you own a lot. The bookshelves that were my favorite part don’t exist, and pop-ups are relentless. I’m probably leaving bookwalker over this.
-- Kirbo in the NE, 2026-04-19

### *---- "Unusable"
Could not do anything in app, since every second a new ad would pop up that prevented anything else from happening. Closing it would open a new ad. So couldn’t even log in.
