### ****- "Very fun but frustrating at times"
I’ve been playing Boom Castle for about a week.  I’m really enjoying it.  I like it because it doesn’t force you to watch advertisements.  There are ads in the game and you can watch them to earn a reward if you want but they’re not required.  The first 5 levels are fairly easy and do require some thinking and strategy, but after that the difficulty ramps up pretty quickly.  Also, the heroes and power-ups that are offered in a round are totally random so you may get everything you want/need or nothing at all and fail terribly.  I think I’m around level 15 and I’ve reached a complete stoppage in the game where my heroes and bonuses aren’t nearly powerful enough to even get a 1 star to be able to advance to the next level.

The game lies when it comes to selecting random power ups. I noticed that when I power up a particular character the game will purposefully pick characters that do not fall into that criteria. It also won’t power up that character at all to make you lose. I went through 780 food, 4 1/2 hours of playing for it not once to give me Argus with a power up. 

***UPDATE: developer claims everything is random. After 122 games on the same level it only gave me powerups in the following percentages. 

First 4 powerups Argus 8%, elf chick 77%, lighting wizard 67%, dark elf 82%, Thor character 56%,  frost wizard 33%, cannon powerups 90%.

Argus is my strongest character and is not given in the first 4 rounds. This is not random, and the game claims to be random. Also, if you watch an add, sometimes it just rearranges the same options. That’s ridiculous. 30 second ad and it rearranges the same options? 

I’d suggest allowing users to have 1 of their most powerful always in the first 4 rounds. This provides the ability for users to actually play the game instead of constantly dealing with weak characters.

It’s entertaining , no doubt,   but for example, I can’t find a way to open the large gems and there is no support or instructions even in the game that tells me. Otherwise, it is a very nice game.

I knew this game from ads, then download it but got hooked and play it for a day, then keep saving 2.500 gems to pull a 10x gem gacha but unfortunately it was set already so that gacha only drop the worst hero item enchancement
