Update May 2024: I thought I’d have another go on this app as it has been a year since my last review and it’s probably even worse. All the previous issues I had are still there but also once I place a cross it just freezes the photo and it’s almost impossible to continue. I eventually managed to pay for a ticket but I’ve no idea where the cross ended up. I’m going to try the dream car give away app and see if that’s any better. It’s got a 4.9 rating as I write this so fingers crossed. Update: Just attempted to have another go on this app to no avail. It’s not improved since my last review one year ago. I use the app on iPad. First of all when I attempt to enlarge the image in order to determine where the players line of sight is it just snaps back to the original size. When placing a cross on the screen it is very easy to place it in an unwanted position but then there doesn’t seem to be any way to delete it. Each time I have to exit the app and start again. I’d love to play this regularly but they don’t seem to be interested in improving it. Obviously lots of people use the app without a problem but it should be usable for everyone. I’m not a technophobe either it’s just not user friendly. Original review. Perhaps it’s just me but I find this so confusing to use. I’m never sure if I’ve placed the cross properly and in the side bar I end up with more than one car showing when I only want to play one ticket and can’t always see a way to delete. When I do manage to delete I’m back to square one having to start from scratch. I think it could be made more user friendly. The web site is no better either. 🤷‍♂️

Crash and burn..,

Straight after the descent update it still crashes. In fact it’s worse, very jittery when trying to type in makes of cars and kicks you out when trying to type in Volkswagen !!! The mind boggles !!

Has gone downhill

The app has been plagued with bugs this past few months, and you can no longer access anything other than car draws. I used to spend a lot, but have moved elsewhere now

Still doesn’t work properly

When you click on account (top left) or more icon (bottom right) it just goes to a blank page, update obviously didn't work. And yes I restarted my iPad after update. Get grip!

Cannot play since latest update

BOTB is fantastic, but would recommend not updating to version 2.9.9 as bug freezes the app before payment can be made.

A bit buggy

Ffs they're all taken on

I’ve used BoTB quite a lot and it’s probably my favourite car competition site but the app has been quite buggy with the last few updates. The midweek lifestyle competition changed to daily draws instead and has now changed back to midweek lifestyle. The midweek lifestyle tab doesn’t work. The top section and search functionality is missing. I’d play for watches and now it’s impossible to get any up on the app. I can scroll through the list of cars but that’s it. The app also has spend limit functionality but the minimum value is £20 a week, which seems high. I tried applying it as an easy way to track that I’m not going over a tenner and of course that’d be useless. If someone on a lower income is spending around £80 a month on competition sites I’d think that’s the start of a problem, and that’s where this apps scale only begins.
