Bound - Audiobook Player

Simple yet powerful, has all the features I need. My most used app by far!

I cant upload files, keeps saying errors. You should have put an easier way to transfer files(like transferring directly from iTunes)

The app works perfectly. But I find them far too rudimentary and stale. You can download audio files, but not the destination (to which audio-book store?). If you download several audio files, then all are in an Audiobook. Perhaps I would divide it? But there is no possibility here. After downloading the audio files I can not rename them. If the title longer than the screen width, you can not read the full title. Where is the citation? The default covers are boring and uninviting. I would like to have a default picture library where you can choose from many different motifs. Also more modern! Unfortunately for the price bit too easy. I would be glad if this improves.

Purchased this app strictly for the google drive access but they have since removed it after I paid for the app. Was good when they had Drive but now it’s not worth the money. Update: Web Upload is now broken as well and OneDrive doesn’t work

I often download free BBC programs and use this app to manage and play them back. Would recommend! Update: It’s been years and I still love this app. But please allow export of audio in the app. Please fix the “ stop playing if you lock the screen” bug that occasionally occurs.

Bound is great. The web uploaded feature makes it incredibly convenient to load up audio files. Playback controls and UI are clean, reliable and intuitive. No subscription nonsense. I highly recommend this app.

If you own your own audiobooks this app is truly 5-stars. Only wish i could recover my audiobooks from this app via files api or the hosting function similar to the upload.

I managed to get several audio books into my iPhone 14. I used iTunes once and drop box one time. Both were hard. Not user friendly and one audio book app found one and a completely different audiobook found the other. Neither found both. To make matters worse I couldn’t remember exactly how I did it. It seemed like I got lucky. I was dreading having to do it again. Neither had the book cover. so I was trying different audiobook apps and came across bound. One review said it works solidly every time. So I paid four dollars and gave it a try. Wow! I can now bypass iTunes completely. All I have to do is use the web uploading page. So I open that page on my computer and I open that same page in the Bound app and suddenly it’s so simple for me to get books into my phone! I was pleasantly surprised that the book covers magically appear. I’m not sure that will always happen but so far I put about 10 books into my iPhone and the cover came with each one. I don’t usually rave about apps but this one is really extra helpful. I love this app highly recommend.
