Bound - Audiobook Player

It doesn't have an iPad app though, which was something of a surprise. It doesn't have support for the Files app or iTunes file sharing either, which is jawdropping. It has a built-in http webserver instead, and that only works if you're online. It doesn't use the internet, it just refuses to work without internet. Aside from those things, it's ok as a player

I really love this app. After trying SO many other options for my archive of audiobooks, most from CDs, Bound does exactly what I need it to do. I can easily organise files in the app, unlike with Books. I can listen to audio from a variety of sources, unlike Audible. I can quickly delete and update files via Dropbox, unlike Apple Music. There’s a very simple chapter navigation, sleep timer, and importing files is very easy. Worth every penny. Only thing I’d like to see is being able to move multiple files at a time, rather than one by one.

Please add syncing with PC using the Apple windows app. Same way we can download music or videos using windows.

One of the few apps i can say just does what its supposed to without any caveats.

Works great on phone. CarPlay is very buggy. No way to skip chapters on CarPlay either. Shame this hasn’t been updated for 2 years.

Great app makes the need for itunes for audiobooks completely redundant.

Since the latest update this won’t run in the background, if you minimise the app whilst playing an audiobook it stop , basically you cart multi task while using it

Not sure why but every now and then the app cleans out my entire library. I think it may be because the apple stores the books in a cache instead of a library. I only assume this. Because in the storage bit in the iPhone settings it just shows the total amount of storage used not the individual books I think the iPhone sees the books as cache and then cleans them out. Maybe to save space I am only guessing all this. What ever causes the issues, it is very annoying.

Simple to use, does everything I want and looks good too. Like the pretty, descriptive icons it makes for each audiobook.

Had to force quit the app for it to play the next chapter
