## Box Control Description
WICHTIGER HINWEIS:
Diese App funktioniert nur mit bestimmten Geräten.
Bei Abstürzen die App deinstallieren und danach neu installieren.

Box Control wurde speziell für die Stream Box DSnet von Pro·ject Audio entwickelt und revolutioniert die Bedienung der Box Design-Komponenten: Sie können Musik von Media Servern, Internet Radios und angeschlossenen USB-Speichern und iPods mit einem Fingertippen auf ihre Stream Box DSnet holen. In Verbindung mit der Remote Box S steuern Sie mit Box Control auch alle ihre analogen Komponenten per Infrarot: Von der Lautstärke am Verstärker bis zur Senderwahl am Fernsehgerät.

* Um den vollen Funktionsumfang Ihrer Stream Box steuern zu können brauchen Sie eine DSnet-Version. Wenn Sie eine Stream Box DS besitzen, wenden Sie sich an Ihren Fachhändler für ein Update auf DSnet.

* Um den vollen Funktionsumfang TIDAL brauchen Sie ein Konto

* Die Sortierung und Darstellung bei der Musikwiedergabe von Media Servern kann je nach verwendeter Server-Software unterschiedlich sein.
* Die Lautstärken-Kontrolle funktioniert derzeit nur in Verbindung mit der Remote Box S.

Angeblich unterstützt die App auch den 800€ teueren MaiA DS2 Vollverstärker. 

Der taucht im Assistenten der App allerdings nicht mal auf, nur die Stream Box und die Remote Box.

Seit Jahren kein Update, Integration von TIDAL schwach, immerhin mit Spotify alles fein. Kann man vielleicht mal Geld sammeln damit Pro-Ject zwei  oder drei Programmiererstunden fürs Update bezahlen kann ?

Auf neuen Geräten sieht die App nicht so gut aus, die Tidal Integration ist naja. Die native Tidal app ist so viel besser und es schmerzt seine Titel dann in der Pro-ject app zu finden. (Stream Box DS2 T)

Update: App stürzt ab, extrem nervig. versuche alles was geht über Fernbedienung zu machen. Das alles bei einem 700€ Gerät, hätte ich mal was anderes gekauft.

Beim Mediaserver bekomme ich ständig dass der Musikcodec nicht unterstützt wird. Über das Gerät funktioniert es.

I used the app to control my streambox DS. Browsing of the music library is extremely slow and the app does not allow the generation of mixed playlist of different albums. I cann not recommend it. It is a pity that Pro-ject is not able to generate something better than this to control their streaming devices. I use audionet iMM now. Much better, faster and gapless playback works too with the net version of the streambox.

Die App ist wirklich auf einem gutem Weg. Mit einigen Verbesserungen könnte sie perfekt werden. Zuerst einmal das, was mir gefällt:
- sehr schnelle Reaktionszeit beim Bewegen durch die Musikbibliothek
- einfaches, schlichtes und geschmackvolles Design
- Übersichtlicher Aufbau
- Funktionell

Verbesserungspotential: iPad-Version, iPhone5-Version, Mute-Taste, Hometaste (um sich nicht den ganzen Weg durch die Musikbibliothek zurückhangeln zu müssen), größere Coverdarstellungsmöglichkeit …

Weiter so, der eingeschlagene Weg passt!

### ***** "App funktioniert - eingeschränkt - mit allen Stream Boxen"
Die App funktioniert sehr wohl auch mit der nicht per kostenpflichtigem Upgrade aufgerüsteten Stream Box DS, allerdings ausschließlich die Streaming-Funktionen. Bilder und Musik vom Netzwerk-Server lassen sich so problemlos per iPhone/iPod touch/iPad wiedergeben. Nur wer die komplette Bedienung des Gerätes per App möchte, inklusive Aktivierung der USB-Eingänge, Internetradio und sämtlicher Einstellungen, muss seine Stream Box DS auf die "net"-Version upgraden.
Eines muss ich noch ergänzen: Ohne Upgrade der Stream Box arbeitet die Steuerung mit DLNA/UPnP wie die Steuerungs-Apps anderer Anbieter, mit den bekannten Nachteilen wie langsame Reaktionszeiten und technisch nicht realisierbarem Gapless Play. Mit dem Upgrade basiert die Steuerung dann auf der speziell für Pro-Ject entwickelten Schnittstelle NetAPI, mit der Gapless Play funktioniert und alle Funktionen der Stream Box gesteuert werden können. Auch die Anzeige von Bitrate und Samplingfrequenz ist dann aktiv.

habe die App geladen, funktioniert aber nur mit der StreamboxNET, die "alte" Streambox wird nach Bekanntgabe der Macadresse und Seriennummer und nach Überweisung von 100 € für die App freigeschaltet. Die Hardware wird nicht verändert, im Endeffekt zahlt man also für Nutzung die App 100 €. So muss jeder selbst entscheiden, ob ihm der Mehrnutzen zum PlugPlayer diese Summe wert ist.
