Brave Browser: My Ad-Free YouTube Sanctuary!

Jaysingam on

Australia

I've been using the Brave browser for my daily YouTube fix, and I must say, it’s been quite the experience. The primary reason I turned to Brave was to dodge the relentless ads on YouTube. I was tired of my viewing sessions being interrupted by ads every few minutes. With Brave, those ads are a thing of the past, letting me enjoy my videos without constant interruptions. It's like a breath of fresh air! However, there's a bit of a hiccup I've noticed. When I delete a video on YouTube’s website, the deleted video won’t actually disappear from the list unless I refresh the page. It's a minor inconvenience, but it would be great if the browser could handle this automatically without needing the extra step of refreshing. All in all, Brave browser has significantly enhanced my YouTube experience by getting rid of ads. Despite the small glitch with video deletions, I still find it to be an excellent choice for ad-free viewing.

Everyone needs this

When I first got it I thought it would block 60 percent of the ads but it blocks every ad it is also free this is why it is a must have

Playlist feature

arun ppp on

Australia

Really loving the playlist feature for offline usage, But please devs can you guys make it possible to add whole playlist from youtube to the playlist. Its really time consuming when we have to add videos one by one on the playlist. It would be great if we could add a whole playlist from youtube. Thanks

Adding skip buttons instead of forward buttons

Manjil Parajuli on

Brave’s default background music playback is fantastic, making it my go-to browser for YouTube Music. However, the inability to skip tracks forward or backward from the lock screen or devices like Apple Watch is a drawback. Adding full media controls would make it perfect. I will change it to 5 star when we get that feature 😊

Love it but…

Edit 5January2025: I’ve noticed searches are not as good as they once were, seeing more and more companies like Amazon in search results, I thought Brave was against these private info vacuuming companies!!! Original comment: It’s so good to be able to search and access websites that goggle blocks or gives no results in search. Thankyou for enabling free speech Brave.

Won’t open links in relevant apps

Xuthra on

Australia

Recently switched to Brave and it’s mostly pretty good but annoyingly the setting “Allow universal links to open in external apps” doesn’t work. Reddit links won’t open in Reddit app, YouTube links won’t open in YouTube app, etc.
