Breastfeeding Central Reviews
Reassuring and helpful!
This app has so many useful tips. It’s organized stage by stage, so you can easily skip to wherever you are in your breastfeeding journey. The section on nursing the baby while chasing a toddler is super helpful. I had been really struggling with that.
I love this app❤️
I wish I had found this app sooner! Googling my breastfeeding questions was making me crazy. I kept going down rabbit holes when I just needed a simple answer. I like that this app is a no brainer to use. I’m too tired for anything complicated. The bookmark feature works great for saving tips I don’t want to forget.
Life saver
I was a slave to my pregnancy app when I was expecting - to look up foods and track our progress - but now that our little one is home this has become the app I'm on all the time. I really appreciate the convenience snd quick answers in a pinch. My q is always did she she get enough milk ( I can never tell) and this app has answers plus tips (and gives me something to read during feedings). 3 am feedings can be a lonely place (esp when I never know if she got enough milk!) but I have this app to keep me company. This updated Version has been helpful with my new born (but I know a lot more than I did the first time thanks to this app!)
App no longer works on iOS!!
Pretty annoyed that I just spent money on an app that doesn’t even open.
Not updated for iOS
I paid for and downloaded his app but it’s not updated to use on the latest version of iOS.
The Goldilocks of info - not too much, not too little!
So, breastfeeding is hard. Really really hard. And it’s so easy to start googling and searching for answers, help, anything to make it easier. But that can lead to more questions and problems due to conflicting advice. This app is not super ‘tech-y’ - but it’s got what you need when you need it. Organized, and easy to reference - and the creator understood that one might need to read the same piece of information a few (or more!) times bc of fatigue. If you’re trying to breastfeed (and you should.... while it was super hard for me in the beginning, this app and the other help I received eased that transition and it’s now honestly one of the best parts of my day. Not to mention the benefits to my baby) - put this on your phone. Totally helpful and worth it.
Useful!
Very easy to use to look up a variety of nursing issues, to help you troubleshoot without having to see an LC.
Worth the Money
This app has helped me with many issues I’ve had with breastfeeding. My newborn twins are only 10 days old and I’ve been having a really difficult time feeding them. It’s very important to get issues resolved with breastfeeding as soon as possible and this app let me try a lot of useful strategies to see if I could address them on my own. If you still need more guidance, the creator of this app, Beverley Rae, is an experienced lactation consultant who you can email, call, or see in person. She is amazingly helpful and very reassuring.
Waste of money
All very basic information that can be found through free online sources. Very disappointed- don’t waste your money.
5 stars for having the RIGHT information...
My wife and I recently had our first baby. We spent a lot of time during pregnancy reading up on prenatal care and breastfeeding methods. We took a handful of classes, practiced hypnobabies techniques, and took great care to be as prepared and knowledgeable as we could be as first timers. But, if you're reading this, you know there's a lot of information out there about all this stuff and lots of different approaches to everything involving a newborn baby. The value of this app is not that it provides information about breast feeding, but that it collects and provides the RIGHT information. And when you're in the middle of feeding the first week, or working on the initial latch, or feeding at 6 months, you're going to want this information at your fingertips. It's wise, natural, and empowering. The app has been a massive help to have in these early days, and saved us from needing to sift through the sea of information on the web when we needed quick reference.
Worth every penny.
