## Brick Description
Brick was created because we believe that life is better when phones help us do more of what matters, instead of constantly distracting us with things that don't. As two young guys, we were raised on smartphones - so we decided to make something to help us use them the way they were meant to be used.

Brick is a combination of software and NFC-powered hardware that temporarily removes distracting apps (and their notifications) from your phone - leaving only the powerful tools you choose.

With Brick, simply open the app and tap your device to block all distracting apps and notifications. Until you return to the device, you'll be free to engage with what really matters - whether that be getting productive work done, spending time with friends and family, or simply going for a walk. Once you're ready to reconnect, just tap the device again to unblock everything.

The Brick app allows you to:
- customize the apps you want to leave unblocked while Bricked
- track your usage history to see your improvement as you spend more time undistracted
- contact the creators to give input for feature requests and any necessary improvements / fixes

I’ve just received our bricks so it’s early days but as soon as I bricked my phone this afternoon, I haven’t unbricked and it’s been 5 hours now. So nice to have more support to stay out of social media and I love the different types of bricks you can create. I’ll be creating one that blocks all emails & texts so that I can go completely offline over the weekend! Great job boys!

Got my brick today & set up- easy process in theory, but the app crashed pretty much every second time I chose an app, which made it rather a long and frustrating process. It’s also quite glitchy- I’ve lost access while bricked to an app I didn’t block. It’s great in that it allows you to block individual websites, however in ‘allow’ mode, this feature doesn’t work- you get access to every site and have to be in ‘block’ mode to block individual websites. A great concept, and still useful for what it is- it just needs a little more fine tuning yet.

This app & device is epic!!! But…
It really really REALLY needs schedules, that you set up and it automatically runs for you - to replace screen time entirely!!!
Say it automatically bricks between 10pm-7am - perfect
Say between 7am-2pm is grind time - automatically bricked on schedule BUT… you have it set so that there is 30 min total free time from the brick!!!
Say 7-9pm is free time - unbricked on the schedule!!!
You already can lock phone and can’t change it during the lockdown mode but adding it to work on a schedule you set up - with allocated time to use the device / apps - this makes it 100% the best thing on the market.
“Focus” - does exactly this on the mac and it’s been gamechanging
Please implement this!!!
